We purchased our car from there so our oil change is free for life. They are pretty good. There are sometimes disagreements, but usually, it is pretty good. We do not really have an issue. They have coffee and snacks in the waiting room. They are usually prompt. Their promptness depends on the time of day and how busy they are. My husband usually takes it in during the workday.

I would recommend them. They are very good and they always give me a discount. The service was great. The workers are very good. Everybody is so polite and they give you coupons. If you want a coupon and you do not have them, they give it to you. The only thing is they are busy. I usually have to wait a couple of hours. They complete the work usually within the time frame they give me. Their timing is always good. As soon as I call, they tell me to come in. If something else happens, they come and talk to me before they do it.

They were not very professional with their customer service. They started asking me to give them more money for some other things that I consider unnecessary. When they see a woman with a small child they think that she doesn't know anything about the car.  I've been driving Hondas for a while and I read the manual so I told them I didn't want anything else done.

This was the second day I had to take it in because they didn't order the part when they scheduled the appointment. Also, they did not bother to call and tell me to save me the trip there. However, once the part arrived and I went out there the service was completed promptly and they washed my van afterwards.

Here's a horror story for you and why I do not like to shop for cars at dealerships.
1) We priced vehicles across Honda dealers in the mid-Atlantic region via Internet using e-mail
2) Joyce Koons Honda supposedly had the exact CR-V, color, options and price that we wanted to pay based on my research
3) Jennifer Bostic, the Internet salesman, answered our questions via e-mail including the supposed pricing then when we arrived passed us off to another salesman
4) Joyce Koons was very deceptive and deceitful in the price they gave me in e-mail for what I was going to pay "out the door". They loaded the car with in-dealer accessories we did not want like pinstriping and such with excessive costs. Essentially, they added $700 to the price we were quoted via e-mail and the Internet. Then, we had to negotiate/argue/discuss that we did not want these things at all and that this was deceptive sales tactics. This went on for 2+ hours. Finally, we negotiated it all down to a minimum amount but when we went to accept delivery of the CR-V an hour later, it was missing the $70 trunk mud mat, that again was listed on the window sticker.
5) Eddy Castro, the Sales Manager, had us wait in the middle of the sales floor for him, only for him to argue with us for 15 minutes in front of customers why he should not have to give us the trunk mat that was clearly listed on the window sticker. Talk about poor sales approach, other customers were staring at us as we argued about it. How bad does it look on them that they are being petty about a $70 item on a $26,000 car!
6) Finally, as we are leaving the lot, he walks out of the showroom floor with a trunk mat, says little and turns and walks back in to the dealership.
I would never ever recommend anyone go to Joyce Koons Honda for purchase of any Honda based on Eddy's bad behavior.
7) 5 and 1/2 hours later we are out the door...Ugh!!!!

What we like about them is that when you come in they take you if you have an appointment. So far everything they have done there is nothing they could not fix. We got the oil changed and a couple of other things. We trust them completely. They are efficient. They are relatively fast. They are friendly. So far my overall experience with them has been 100%.

Koons Honda was asked to perform routine maintenance and check on the A/C that had stopped working on my 2009 CRV. This vehicle was purchased new from another local Honda dealer and has ONLY been serviced at Koons Honda since it was purchased. The service advisor reported that the A/C had stopped working because there was double the normal amount of cooling fluid in the system and it had caused the problem. The repair was made and i was charged $165.00. He further insisted that Koons had no responsibility and that I must have had the vehicle worked on elsewhere. I know for a fact this is not the case and feel he implied I was lying. The written report states that there was "slightly" too much freon in the system. I have an extended warranty on this vehicle and the Service Advisor refused to agree that this repair was through no fault of mine.
I own three Hondas and it has always been my practice to have them serviced by Honda dealers. The Service Advisor at Koons refused to hear my concern and although he told me the service manager would be contacting me, I have heard nothing back from Koons Honda. Because I know the service history of this vehicle it leads me to question the integrity and reliability of the Koons Honda Service Department. My conclusion is that an improper procedure was performed during an earlier service appointment or this most recent repair is questionable and should have been considered a warranty repair. In either case, I no longer trust this dealership and will be taking my 3 Hondas elsewhere for service and won't go to this dealership the next time I am in the market for a new vehicle.

I have a car with over 100,000 miles and take it there a lot. They send us coupons. It is excellent, you have a nice place to wait, can go at your convenience, can drop it off, they will drive you somewhere else, and call you when it's done. They have everything in the computer and know what needs to be done. If you purchase a car there, and take it there for service, they will warrant the drive train for life. They have a nice facility, as well as nice people, and they do well. My husband's car is only 3-4 years old. My car had a problem one time, we went back, and they addressed it right away. "How bad can it be?' I give them high ratings and will continue to go there in the future.

On-line service discount coupon saved $100. Price was consistent with estimate.
Koons Honda provided free service loaner vehicle for my use -- 2012 Honda Accord which had less than 500 miles.
Service representative called to keep me posted on progress and estimated time of completion.
Dealership (on phone and in person) were efficient and professional.
Overall, one of my best service experiences ever. I plan to return at 210,000 miles for repeat of service (less recall item).

Took car in because it was making whining noise while driving. I had noted that on a previous visit they had suggested the break pads be looked at the next visit. I called and made the appointment and brought the car in. When I arrived I was helped but one services person within five minutes, he listened to me and my concerns. Then looked my appointment up. It with a different service consultant so he took me to Tony and explained my complaint.. Tony asked a few more questions and I indicated that while I knew the breaks needed to be looked at money was tight at the moment as it was the holiday season and if it was possible to do the mininum and keep the car safe I would be pleased. I then waited in the waiting room, which has free wi-fi and worked until Tony came back with the Recommended Treatment Plan which was printed out and given to me. Tony was up front with the costs and what needed to be done. I authorized the work, once the work was done. Tony came with the bill and two coupons he had printed out himself, those coupons saved me almost fifty dollars.

I have always been pleased with the services at Koons, they have always told me what absolutely needs to be done and suggested what needs to be done next. I have never felt that they have overcharged me because I was a woman or done services I didn't needs. Today though when the service consultant printed the coupons himself for me, I was impressed.

I made an appointment on Thursday to have the following services performed on my 2007 Acura TSX (49K miles) on Friday, July 31. 4 Wheel Alignment Virginia State Inspection Replace Windshield Wipers Drain and replace transmission fluid I brought the car in on Friday morning right around 7 am. I forgot my printout for the requested services, but did not figure this would be a big deal, as I had made the appointment via the internet. When talking with the service consultant, I apologized for not having the paperwork, but mentioned that my requested services were in the computer. He asked me in general what I wanted and I stated I needed the alignment, the inspection, the windshield wipers and I couldn't remember the last one -- maybe the power steering fluid? Either way, I had the request in the computer, please just use that as a guide. I left my phone number for both work and my cell, and left my car for the day. Fast forward to 6:30 when I come in to pick up my car. I had budgeted and expected to pay right around $200 for the services I had requested via the internet. I unpleasantly surprised when the cashier asks for $350. Seems that although I didn't specifically request it, I got a power steering flush to the tune of $159. No one called me, and it wasn't on my internet request. I acknowledge I might have gotten the two services confused in the morning, but I do know I specifically told the service consultant that the other service was a drain and flush of something.....but couldn't remember exactly, it was on my appointment request. So, rather than clarify and consult and give me a call, I get a service performed on my car that was almost certainly not needed, but also not requested. I would have expected, at a minimum, that your service consultant would have looked at the computer requested appointment to clarify which additional services I was requesting. I would have also expected that as a consultant, he or she would have talked to me about whether or not I really needed a power steering flush, as it is not suggested until 100K miles for my make and model. Instead, the technician/consultant took advantage of my self-admitted confusion and had a service performed that not only I did not need, I did not "specifically" authorize nor ask for. I would also expect the consultant to clarify any additional requests above and beyond what was requested on an internet appointment before performing any service.

They are very responsive. They take the car when it needs to be done. You don't have to wait. They have rental cars available that they offer, if the work is going to be longer than a day. They have a really good shuttle service if you don't need a rental car. They take you to and from your home. The work is generally really good. They have done a lot to upgrade their waiting room, if you choose to wait. They have comfortable chairs, a television, and a place to set up a computer. You can also earn tokens for coffee, and the coffee is really good. The work is generally done when they say it will be. They had to order parts for my car, and they gave me a loaner. I have never had to take the car back to have something re-done.
