I had been taking my Honda cars for servicing to Koons Honda in Manassas for a very long time. The Odyssey I bought in 2006 had an air conditioning issue which while under warranty was never really fixed, though they "attempted" at least 3 times by replacing fans or filling fluids. Every time they did something to it it worked for a month or so then stopped working. I learned of a different place to get my car serviced in the last year or so and went there. I asked them to fix my AC once. Thank the Lord, it has not needed more fixing. They replaced the motors. Amazing. I never wanted to go back to Koons, however, it seems my car found itself in their hands again. The service was allighnment of my tires which i had had replaced due to baldness and oil change. The person that worked on my car said there was a noise near one of the tires. I had heard the noise myself. So I asked them to print out the info that came with the report they do each time they do maintenance from the equipment they use to analyze the cars issues right? When I picked up my car there was nothing in the report about the noise. Nothing in the reciept about the noise. There was a report that my front tires were bald and my CV boots were leaking. Funny, I had just replaced the tires and had the CV boots replaced. I asked him why the report said the cv boots were leaking. He said it was checked visually. I asked him why there would be a report that they were leaking when I had just had them replaced. He kind of stuttered. I guess this leads me to wonder why they had made these claims. The only thing I can figure is that they did not run the test. I have to question what else they didn't do. Yes, they make maintenance easy and are comforting when they "work" on your car. But what do they really do? I'd have to say I question the work they do. The report that they sent home with me seemed innacurate to say the least. It certainly didn't mention the issue about the noise near the tire. Was that caused by misallignment of my new tires which they said were bald? It had been a very long time since I'd been to Koons. I had taken 3 Honda cars there since 2000. I was really disapointed that after a year or so away they wouldn't run the test and get a new report. I had really trusted them all those other years.

It went very well.  Their service manager, Tyson Farina, provides exceptional service, is very knowledgeable, effective at locating discounts on parts, works closely with the mechanic and the customer, is very honest in his reporting and effective at holding costs down.  I like their 1 year or 12,000 mile guarantee on the work.

On Nov 19th, 2016 We purchased a new Honda Odyssey from Joyce Koons Honda. Part of the purchase includes a $500 military rebate towards the price. The dealer said we needed DD214 for the military rebate. I said that I did not have one readily available, and asked about using my Military ID. We were ready to leave and continue our search elsewhere. We were then told by the dealership that my military ID and my wife's Military ID were sufficient as evidence. Based on that, we went ahead and signed all the documentation for the purchase. 3 weeks later on December 7th, (which is the Pearl Harbor Anniversary) that Honda would not accept our IDs as evidence for the $500 discount. He said I needed to produce a DD214 as evidence for my service. He further indicated that I needed to produce it in hours, or they would be coming after me for the $500. During that evening, I made numerous attempts to contact other managers at the dealership, but it was unsuccessful. The next day, I finally had a conversation with Sales Manager with Kenny Smith, and he is blaming on the problems on Honda Finance. The fact is, the problem lies with the Dealership for assuring us that the IDs were sufficient evidence. If they had told us otherwise, we would have left and continued our search for a vehicle. I believe they 'baited-and-switched' us to make the sale. They should have told us they couldn't make the sale without the documentation that they are now requiring me to provide. They in effect, are questions my standing as a retired Service Member after completing the sale. The requiring a split second response to their demand, after waiting 3 weeks seems onerous.The method of doing business seems questionable and creates much ill-will against us as customers. We want to register this complaint to help future retired Military customers avoid this same treatment. I am sending documentation today, that they say should be sufficient to prove my Military Service. An apology would have been nice.

I contacted them first online through their website. They gave me a great deal up front. No games and no hassle. What I liked very much is that they did not require my phone number in order to give me a quote but left it up to me to decide how I wanted to proceed. They answered all my questions promptly. At the dealership there were no pressure tactics, they were honest and direct . Kabir was our sales representative, he was very patient, grateful that we had come to their dealership and answered all our questions. The manager came in to meet us and to answer a couple of questions too before we closed the deal. I highly recommend them. We had a very pleasant, easy buying experience. We got a car that we love at a great price.

I like their service and the way they treat you. We don't get the impression that they are trying to suck more money as lot of other people do. Scheduling is excellent. You can do it online or through phone and they are open on Sundays too. I would say that they are excellent if somebody asks me about them.

Koons is excellent. It's easy to schedule with them, they are prompt in their service, answer all my questions, and are finished in good time. If I can't afford something they suggest, they are ok with that too, never push for more. Other benefits: they have wifi service, so I can work while I wait, a van to take you home and back, if needed, and great coffee.

The inspection with Honda is always free which I like. On top of that for the most expensive element they did, they gave me 15% off. On their website, there are coupons. I thought it was a good deal. They did a very good job. The service managers explained things thoroughly and tracks everything. They don't do anything without my permission. They are very professional.
