Hello, I found this shop for the first time when I had James rebuilt the transmission in my Honda minivan. Since then I thave all my cars serviced there. James is the owner and he will do you right. If you go to his webpage there is a 10%off. coupon.

My daughter and son-in-law recently had a serious transmission failure occur while heading out of town on a weekend vacation. They found Jim's Transmission Service through a Google search. This is a sole proprietor services shop that only does transmissions, which was important to them because they have a heavy-duty 5 speed Allison transmission and the repair had to be done right since they haul a heavy RV.
They pulled in unannouced early Saturday morning and were greated by the owner himself who personally inspected the truck to diagnose the problem. The quote for their 'total rebuild' was VERY reasonable (which they confirmed with other shops after the fact). The work was completed in just two days, as promised. The owner personally agreed to stay late (after 7:30) the night they picked it up since they had to drive more than an hour, after rush hour to pick it up. They said the experience was exceptional; they considered the customer service to be 'TOP NOTCH', and the rebuild transmission is guaranteed for 3 yrs/50,000. miles...in spite of the distance fromthier home in Maryland, they said they'll use Jim's Transmission Service again, if they ever have another transmission issue...
