This company was very hard to deal with. Their initial design could not be built as the architect did not account for a bay window on the side of the house. The actual deck builders had to change the design as they built. The initial delivery of building materials was incorrect so we had unnecessary lumber in our driveway for weeks. When we asked one of the owners of the company a few questions, he seemed annoyed and directed us to deal with the project manager. Later when we asked the project manager specific questions the same owner asked us to not to deal with her but to deal with him. Much of the construction was done in about 4 weeks. But the company left a Dons John and dumpster in our driveway for 10. Pros of dealing with this company - their subs were great and did quality work Cons - dealing with the management of the company. We are happy with the quality of the deck but would not use them again.

The estimate process went fine with them. One concern we had with them was that subcontractors would have been used on our project. We only met with the designer for the project who was who was very nice and professional.

Rafael is the only general contractor I've ever heard of who shows up on time, gets the total project done in the time frame he says he'll follow, and sticks to the budget. Two years ago he beautifully remodeled our master bathroom, and this time he did the same quality work on our hardwood floors. He met our vision wonderfully. We will absolutely hire him again and have referred many friends to him.

Excellent work, completed on schedule and reasonable costs. Great communication and experience. Would definitely hire again and recommend. Rafael and team built a shed dormer, installed a bathroom, and also renovated an old bathroom for us. Once permits were ready, the whole thing took less than 2 months.

These guys did a great job! Very professional and communicative. My bedroom no longer gets flooded and everything looks perfect. Very reasonable prices as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs work done inside or outside of their home.

We selected Greenway when another contractor recommended Rafael, who owns Greenway, to do drawings for our remodeling. After ten minutes with Rafael, we knew we wanted him for the job.  We added, to our home, a master suite w/ bathroom and a study. Rafael's design was masterful.  So many additions are boxes.  He designed ours with different curves and side windows, which made the addition look as if it were part of the original house. Both rooms have character and beauty.
Most of all, Rafael was a talented, capable, and kind man to work with.  He was always available to us; he listened; and he adjusted the design when requested with no problem.  His workers were professional as well. One day when I had to move furniture to clear the house for the demolition, two of his workers joined in to help with smiles on their faces.  
The end result is a beautiful addition.  The cost was fair; the work was excellent; and the experience was positive.  I have heard and lived through some nightmare stories about remodeling.  We hesitated to take on such a large project, but Rafael's demeanor, professionalism, and expertise made the remodeling a dream come true.  
We are so proud of how the house looks, and Rafael made it happen.  Recently, we called him back to do a small job.  he came and again, the job was done as we wanted.  Many contractors after doing a big job mark you off their return call list.  Not Rafael, he was available and gracious as ever..

The addition went well.  Rafael was on site all the time.  His crews and subcontractors were courteous and professional.  He made certain that everything was up to code, and requested more inspections by the City of Fairfax than were actually required to ensure this.  I was very pleased with the result, and with his efforts.  My budget was tight, and he stayed on budget, though I actually requested a few upgrades and bumped up the final cost myself.  His electrician is great, as is the carpenter he works with who completes built-ins etc.  The man who laid the hardwood floor for him was good too.  Good painters too.

Great job!  I would highly recommend Rafael to you if you need someone who can work within a reasonable budget, keep the project moving in good time, and who is quite committed to being on site and inspecting every step of the building project. 

In the months since completion (completion date was Dec. 2014), I have had him tweak a couple minor things, and each time he has done so willingly and professionally. 

Prior to choosing Rafael, I met with 4 other builders.  One, like Rafael, came highly recommended, but was out of my price range, the other 3 offered far inferior projects for much higher prices, so, all in all, I'm very glad I chose Rafael.  He is an architect by profession, so he can also complete that aspect of the project for you if needed.

His company is fairly new, and not well known, but I am definitely recommending him to friends in the Fairfax City and Fairfax County Area.  He can provide pictures of the project if you'd like to take a look.
