It went fantastic. Professional, upfront, doesn't steer you where he wants you to go. He listens and helps you get where you want to go. I knew what he was going to do and he did just what he said he was. He is the man to see if you drive a first generation camaro. As a matter of fact if you drive , period. No matter how small or big the issue Elswick and son is where you need to take your car.

I have spent the past 25 years with Backlick Service Center in Annandale. They were exceptional. However the travel from my home in Fairfax to Annandale became very difficult because of the distance 15 miles+. I looked for a comparable service facility for my cars and found Elswick and Son. I was very impressed and pleased with their service and their customer friendly attitude. Bo and his son have always been very accomodating and honest. If I requested a service that I thought was necessary but ended up not being necessary, he would call and tell me and give me an alternative. Almost always the alternative was less expensive. He could have done what I asked for and made extra money, but he was very honest and told me what I needed. I will continue to use Elswick for all of my service needs. He is very convenient to my home and very accomodating on schedules. I thought that I would never find a auto service provider to the standard set by Mr. Kim and his son Bill at Backlick Service Center, but Elswick and Son are every bit as qualified, honest and customer oriented. I can't say enough good things about Bo and his team at Elswick. and Son and will use them for all of my automotive needs.

I have been very happy with the work that Elswick and Son has done for this car and all other cars I have brought him over 20+ years.

I had purchased some tires for my Ford Edge and needed them put on the rims. I called Elswicks and they were able to schedule my appointment so that it suited my schedule. I took the car in and they changed the tires and balanced them. Very reasonable prices and professional manner. My car was clean when I took it in and clean when I picked it up.

My husband and I have been going to Elswick garage for 12 years for all of our automotive work from simple things like oil changes and inspections to complex service like an air conditioning upgrade. They have always been able to schedule us to suit our needs. Have always gotten the job done on time and have always met their estimate or gone under. Bo has always been professional and he is very knowledgeable. Any time he is unable to help, he has always given us a reference or two. Overall, I would highly recommend Elswick and Sons. They are honest and I trust them to only do the work needed..not try to oversell or and quot;make-upand quot; problems.

I called in for appointments for our two cars on subsequent days. For this car I asked for VA state inspection, oil change and tires rotated. It was mentioned to me on the phone that they did NOT do VA state inspections though would take it as a courtesy.

The VA state emission (performed by a business just across the road) was the standard $28.00. I was also billed to pre-test and take the vehicle over to the emission shop. Tires were inflated to over 50 psi. The next when I remarked that I follow car and tire manufacturer's recommended tire pressure, I was told that following those guidelines would decrease tire life and that
car dealers only desire a and quot;soft rideand quot; so that cars may be sold. It wasn't so much that was said, as it was put to me in a agressive manner, as if I challenged his expertise.

I must admit I was rather taken back that the routine work I'd asked for (taking off the VA state inspection) came to $114.47.

I've been to Elswick's twice, once for my annual inspection and once for an oil change and tune up and some repair work. I had been ripped off recently by another mechanic and was very gun shy. Elswick's came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. Mr. Elswick was incredibly professional, explained everything he did completely, told me what needed to be repaired and what could wait, and explained a repair that needed to be done down the road which might better be done by the dealership, which I thought was very honest of him. All in all a great experience I am sticking with Elswick's for my auto maintenance and repair work.

I had to have the car towed in, due to the clutch problem. Elswick recommended a towing company who was prompt, good, and reasonably priced. Mr. Elswick understood that I didn't want to put a lot of money into my older car, so he talked to me about the clutch and A/C issues, then promised to take a look and let me know what it would take to fix it before they did anything. He took a look and let me know that he thought they could fix it for around $1200, which seemed very reasonable to me. With the other services, the total came up to $1400. He called and gave me regular updates and even finished the car early!

Elswick has been taking care of my cars for years - they are trustworthy, honest, and care about cars. It's great to be able to depend on them!
