We had to design our son's headstone, and this was not an easy task for us. Being an artist I wanted to design every inch of it myself, including one of my son's illustrations, and Sarah worked with me every step of the way. It was exactly how we wanted to honor him. Everyone we worked with or spoke to was empathetic and understanding. We were so pleased with the outcome; they take great pride in their work, and it shows. Thank you for a difficult job well done.

I have never given a review on the internet before, but after the excellent service we received from Eastern Memorials I felt I needed to. I contacted a number of companies to get a head stones for my wife. I initially chose Eastern Memorial because it looked like they could handle unique designs requests based on other memorials they featured on their web site. I wanted a particular head stone and bench design for my wife and I and Sarah and Kevin were very accommodating in meeting my requirements. They got the design correct with minimal effort and bent over backwards in sourcing the correct stone. When the memorial and bench were complete I was very pleased with the excellent workmanship. The gentlemen who installed the memorial were meticulous and very professional. I highly recommend Eastern Memorials to anyone seeking an excellent product and service at a very fair price. It was an ease and pleasure to work with Eastern Memorials on the headstone for our dad. They were very accommodating during the entire process. Sarah took our initial ideas and designed a perfect memorial. The headstone was delivered and installed as promised and looks fantastic. We will definitely return to Eastern Memorials if the need arises.

After my mother recently died, we planned to bury her in our father's grave at Arlington National Cemetery.  His tombstone is already standing, so we had to ensure that an inscription could be added to the tombstone, with the same font, with similar spacing and with a similar style, so that the two names would look natural with each other.  Since Dad died about 15 years ago, we did not remember who had originally inscribed his tombstone.  I know that work at Arlington Cemetery is a strictly-controlled process, and that only certain companies are permitted to work there, which narrowed the field of companies we could use.  An added complication is that I am currently stationed overseas, so all the initial inquiries, contract signing, payment, and discussions about progress would have to be done over the phone and via email.
We found Eastern Memorials via an internet search, along with a couple of other companies.  My email discussions with the company (with Sarah in particular) convinced me that Eastern was the company we should go with.  Their price was competitive with other companies we had come across, but the long experience of the company and the friendly, informative manner of the staff were the key items for me.  After agreeing to the price with Sarah, I was in email several times with Kevin on the specific design of the inscription.  When Kevin had his proposal complete, he emailed me a photo of the tombstone, with the proposed inscription added via computer imaging so that I would see exactly what he was proposing.  
As soon as the required paperwork was filed with Arlington, Eastern Memorials completed the new inscription.  Kevin emailed me the final invoice with a photo of the gravesite with the completed inscription.  It is exactly as we had discussed.  The new inscription blends so well with the original that it seems that both were engraved at the same time.
