Water from the toilet was leaking under the vinyl, which turned out to be because the previous owner had not troubled to buy a new wax ring when they re-installed the toilet. I let it go for a couple of years until the floor sank and squelched whenever I walked in. EA contractors took out the vinyl, replaced the subfloor, and braced the joists underneath which had also taken some damage. The new tile they installed looks great. They also did a good job on the removal of the kitchen door and opening up that space. The best part was the price. I got 4 estimates and E&A's was the best one by far. Basically they threw in the kitchen doorway work for free. This is the 3rd time I have used E&A for home remodeling, and they have consistently done good quality work for a very competitive price.
