Ceramic Tile Service
$1,660
The job did not go well. Chris Martino, President of Do It All Construction, began work on May 10, 2011. He and his man worked through the 13th and finished up on the following Monday. The master shower floor was replaced to level the floor properly so water would go down the drain as it should.

They were late every day by at least an hour, sometimes by several hours. He was distracted with what sounded like personal busness on his cell phone.

After moving back into the shower and using it for about 3 days, the grout started crumbling and the glue oozing out around loose tiles. He came out on May 25th to fix the floor. He replaced only the handful of tiles that were loose and assured me the rest were set hard. After 3 more days of showers, it began to crumble and ooze again. He came out on June 1st to fix the floor - again only working on the handful that were loose. This was repeated on June 10th and again on June 27th. Each time the grout crumbled and the tile oozed.

Chris kept telling me he didn't understand what was happening, but clearly he used a bad product to glue the tiles down. Instead of replacing the whole floor again and scraping off the bad glue, he chose to fix a couple of tiles each time. I started calling him on July 5th and left multiple messages for him about the floor. In the final message I asked him to return my money so I could find someone else to fix the floor. To date, he has opted NOT to take or return my calls.

The shower is quite unusable now because of the crumbling grout and oozing around the tiles. Even the previous guys didn't have any trouble getting the tiles to stick. Even though the floor was not level, it could be used.
