I had hired Chim Chim Churee 2 years ago after I moved into a new home to inspect and sweep my chimney/fireplace. They noted a few issues and took several photographs to explain things to me (e.g., I had several cracked or missing flue tiles). They told me it was not urgent but advised me to address in the next year or two if I wanted to burn wood regularly. I had a good experience, appreciated their honesty, and gave them a 5 star review; I also planned on using them again when the time came. I did come back to Chim Chim Churee 20 months later to install a stainless steel chimney liner and parge the smoke chamber. They honored their prices from their much earlier original estimate (despite inflation...I found competitors prices to be higher). Thomas and his assistant were punctual, professional, efficient, clean, and personable. He explained everything he was going to do and why, let me know how things were going along the way, showed pictures to document how he did the job, and made sure I understood. The work was very high quality.....very clear no corners were cut anywhere. We ran a competitive selection among 5 companies for the very big job planned for our house: re-line 2 flues, re-build two fireplaces, and repair/re-build exterior masonry on the chimney. Chim-Chim Churee's quote was significantly less expensive than any of the others and their work turned out to be excellent. The job required an entire week of full days: Thomas gave us a plan for each day and stuck to it, arriving with the team (featuring the excellent Reggie) on-time every day, and accomplishing exactly what they said. The quality of the masonry and interior brickwork was, without exaggeration, artistic. We were prepared to pay more, but Damien's expertise during the bidding phase convinced us that, in this case, less (dollars) was more. We couldn't be more pleased. Great company!

My condo association requires a chimney inspection every three years. Many sweeps are aware of this and thus take advantage of home owners. Damien was referred by a neighbor who was impressed with his service and considered him honest. I agree and recommend him to 3 more neighbors. We are all very satisfied. Excellent service! We had chimney issues which resulted in water damage inside the house. Chim-Chim Churee Chimney & Masonry responded quickly to provide us a quote. Damien provided a clear explanation of the work needed, and outlined the costs involved. They were able to quickly schedule and complete the work. The work was completed by Thomas (the owner) and an apprentice. They were professional, knowledgable - as well as helpful in providing info on where to purchase a new fireplace mantel. Excellent company - highly recommended.

Great experience. Damien was knowledgeable and provided insight on what to look for in the future with my fireplace. As a new home owner I found this incredibly helpful and plan on using them in the future. It took about 45 minutes for the whole thing and they called before they arrived, which is always appreciated.

This is a great company to work with and they are very good and what they do, which for me was a serious rebuild of my above roof line chimney and a shoulder re-do. The job took over three days and involved the use of a lift to complete everything. Damien provided an estimate immediately after finishing his review and I had the scope of work right away. No waiting for numbers. Thomas and his crew were very efficient, clean, and worked in brutal heat with no issue for me or my neighbors in our town house development in Mclean. I would come back to these guys and Thomas any time in the future. Pricing was fair and explained very well by Damien and then by Thomas, the owner who was on site during the job. Most importantly, the work that was done looks great and the price was fair. My neighbors have commented that they couldn't tell where the old brick ended and the new work began. In addition, everything about my interaction with Chim-Chim Churee was impressive. They showed up on-time for my free estimate. They clearly explained what work would be done, why it was needed, and the cost for each component. I have special tiles for my roofing that I was concerned about damaging. Before doing any work, Chim-Chim Churee contacted the manufacturer to determine how to do the work without damaging the roof. On the day the work was originally scheduled, bad weather prevented Chim-Chim Churee from starting on time. They called me before 8 AM to explain the situation and schedule a new work date. The showed up on time and ready to go on the new date. The work was done quickly and well. I also had to call them several times with questions. I always got quick (within minutes), accurate responses from both their office and their tech people. I highly recommend Chim-Chim Churee based on my experience.

Thomas went to look at the project at no cost, and then rescheduled other projects to get my furnace exhaust pipe replaced. This was needed since I was very concerned about rain water getting into the attic from the old missing pipe. He did excellent work, and I would highly recommend his company for chimney repair services.

They came and measured, ordered a custom cover and replaced it in a reasonable time. The employees kept us in the know and were professional each time.

They didn't come and give an estimate as they indicated they couldn't make it for over a month to provide an estimate. Obviously this doesn't work for us with a leaking chimney.

I had been putting off getting my fireplace chimney inspected and cleaned. I had another company come out about 18 months ago, who said I needed a deep cleaning, which would be very expensive. I finally did some additional research, and selected Chim Chim Churee, after speaking with a number of companies. The office was very professional, pleasant and helpful at answering my extensive questions. They worked around my schedule and were able to come out that afternoon! They called before they came to let me know they were 40 min away, and gave me the exact time they would be there. Thomas and one of his helpers came out, were friendly and professional, and carefully inspected my chimney, from the roof and fireplace, and told me that it didn't need a deep cleaning, and cleaned it with the standard brushes. They left it very clean afterwards, and explained everything they were doing, and showed me some areas that needed some maintenance, but didn't push additional work. They showed me before and after pictures, and then sent them to me. I would highly recommend them, and will certainly use them again.

Fantastic. Thomas is a pleasant, interesting individual who comes from multiple generations of craftsmen. He is fair, communicates well and performs first class service at a fair price. Thomas was highly recommended to me by a home repair business since he specializes in chimneys and they did not. He arrived at our home when scheduled, conducted a thorough review of the chimney and then carefully explained what he felt should be done for repair. He went above and beyond by communicating with a waterproofing supplier to make sure weather conditions would allow long lasting application. Thomas and his team then performed the services in an adult manner not requiring close supervision. At times we were not even home but observed the completed work upon return. All this followed by detailed pictures of repair as I was not about to climb a tall ladder for personal review. I highly recommend his services and would hire him again in a heartbeat.
