CertaPro did an amazing job. The salesman answered every question I had and gave me a detailed estimate. The company gave me a detailed explanation of who would be doing the work, when they would arrive, and what to expect. The crew was very professional and did a great clean-up job when they were done. My ceilings look fantastic. I could not recommend them more highly.

Repainting the stucco and wood exterior of our home was a major undertaking. After receiving a number of bids we selected Certapro because of the thoroughness of their description of work and willingness to address my concerns regarding the proper way of painting stucco which demands a delicate approach lest the finish be ruined. Certapro's crew arrived on time each day and spent a few minutes with me providing the day's plan. They did a walk around with me at the end of the day and cheerfully disposed of minor issues I spotted. They obviously take pride in their work product. The final result was outstanding and I am pleased to give them my highest recommendation.

Needing exterior painting of our house trim items and rear redwood stairway, I contacted Tom Clarkson (Cell Phone 703-405-4797), Sales Manager, for CertaPro Painters of Fairfax & Prince William. Tom promptly responded, reviewed our work, making good recommendations on prepping and painting, and provided a comprehensive/reasonably priced estimate with pictures of the work areas. Victor Velasco and an assistant were assigned this job. Victor was meticulous in undertaking the detailed prep work and applied the needed coats of paint in a timely and most effective manner. The work was outstanding and our home has been restored to its former good appearance that should last a number of years.

It worked out excellent because I was able to use it get my insurance company to give me more coverage on hail damage to my deck. The reason I did not use them is it was too late in the year to be doing deck work so I will select someone in the spring.

Eduardo was our painter. He was very friendly and did phenomenal painting. He did a great job! I would definitely ask for him next time. The owner of Certa Pro (here in the Burke area) is one of the nicest and best small business owners we have ever had. They definitely want to make sure you are satisfied with the work that is done.
I chose the Sherwin Williams classic paint. I generally use Benjamin Moore (BM). I like the Sherwin colors but prefer the BM paint (quality) better for my taste(s). You won't be disappointed if you choose Certa Pro for your interior painting (I didn't have any exterior painting done).

Dave came out for the estimate and we went over the painting and repair that was needed on the exterior.. There were many areas of rotted wood. We wanted the wood replaced with wood. He listened and took notes and photos.He provided a very thorough and detailed estimate that indicated where boards were to be replaced and where damage was to be repaired. His price was consistent with the other estimates that we had received. He was pleasant and professional to deal with.

The paint crew was three painters. They arrived on the date and at the time scheduled. The foreman spoke English and was very pleasant to work with. They worked steadily through the day with only a break for lunch. The project took three days to complete. They were on time every day and worked steadily. Each morning and evening the foreman met with us to let us know what they would do and what they had completed. They were to repair and paint the basement door frame. When the carpenter looked at it he said that too much work needed to be done to repair it. The door and frame needed to be replaced. The foreman explained the options. We decided to not do the repair on the door frame and to do that as a separate project. Dave made an adjustment to the contract price for the work that was not done and the materials not used.

The house looks great. We are very satisfied with the work and the professionalism of everyone.

Really AWESOME!  The owner, Dave Forman, came out to look at the project and asked numerous questions to make sure he understood exactly what we wanted.  He had great suggestions for which products to use (including a fun magnetic/whiteboard paint for kids!) and a complicated trim project that turned out beautifully.  He gave us a complete and thorough estimate with every detail we discussed so there were no surprises. His wife, Lynn, came out and helped me pull it all together with the PERFECT color choices so everything flows.  The crew was awesome! Neat, clean, super respectful of our home and fast!  I HIGHLY recommend them for any job you have, big or small.  From the first visit with Dave and then Lynn and the whole crew, professionalism and pride showed through.  The job site supervisor kept us informed every day with what to expect and what was completed and they accept no payment until you are completely happy!  We will be using them again for ALL future projects!! Call them!  You will be so happy you did!

Outstanding!  Coordinated scheduling effectively, arrived on time, performed work as agreed and even went above and beyond to prevent future problems by repairing unexpected problem at no additional charge.  I highly recommend this provider--could not be happier.

Dave Forman gave me a very detailed and accurate estimate of all the work needed to complete the job to my satisfaction.  He listed the number of coats of primer, paint and extent of drywall work needed.  Dave took the time to suggest several ideas to make my experience better - how to eliminate the need to take down the blinds but instead have his men carefully prop them away from the walls - new switch plates would make the newly painted rooms look newer and fresher.
     Dave's crew arrived promptly each day, were very courteous, and careful while working in my home.  They cleaned up each day so I could use the rooms as much as possible.  They took the time to explain the different types of sheen the different paints would provide thereby allowing me to make better decisions and increase my degree of satisfaction     
     As they were cleaning up after finishing their painting, I was moving some items back into my Master Bedroom.  I accidentally bumped the door jam and marred the newly painted surface.  I mentioned my mistake to the crew and they immediately stopped what their cleanup process, re-opened the paint can, took their freshly cleaned brush and repainted the damaged area.  They were very interested in my complete satisfaction with the job!!!
     I would definitely use CertaPro Painters of Fairfax again!!!

It was Dave Forman. I understand CertaPro has franchises. He was fabulous, he was very thorough. We were satisfied. He was very particular about knotholes and nail pops and all these things. We went through a lot of detail, too much detail for me, I am not that picky, but he was very thorough. He asked what they top 3 concerns were for this job. For me, they were safety of the individuals in my home, I want people that know what they are doing, and I want to be able to communicate with them. By the time they finally came, the crew, it has been probably 3 weeks. Everything that we had talked about with Dave Foreman had never been communicated apparently to to the crew. I guess they have different crews. The bottom line was the painting job was great, the clean up was atrocious. They left my house as a construction zone. They left it a mess. You have a crew some into the house they put down tarps. When they took the tarps off all the spackling and debris was strewn all over my house. Dust was from top to bottom because they sanded walls and they used a hair dryer, it just blew white dust everywhere. It was a big job to do in one day, they rushed through it in my opinion and they left my house an absolute mess. I couldn't get them out of the house fast enough. They didn't have a vacuum. I was furious. I talked to Dave and he said, I think I know what your problem is, I heard it from one of the guys and I will send my cleaners over. I said, I don't want more people in my house that I don't know. I just don't like having cleaning people coming in with their own mops, it just bothers me. I just feel like moving. It was a huge mess. It took me a week to recover from that. My husband said, we paid for this? We paid to have this done? 
My house is character, it's not new. I don't really care. They did a lot more work than I thought they were going to do. They mudded walls and scraped things so pieces of wall and everything was being respackled and then had to be sanded and then they used a hair dryer to dry it which blew the white sand dust everywhere. Then they painted it. It was too much to do in one day. They were obviously rushed through so at 6:00 they are pulling all the tarps out and I'm left with an absolute mess on the wood floor. Then they went back with a rag, a wet rag and tried to wipe the floor up which turned into a white paste. On my unfinished wood floors you are not supposed to use water, it was just a nightmare. They just didn't know how to clean up. I like Dave he is a nice guy, he just doesn't understand I guess what goes on with his crews.

Dave Forman came out to give us the estimate, he showed up on time and was very helpful.  Lynn came out a couple of days later and helped me with color selection.  The house looks wonderful!  We are so pleased with the results.
