Description of Work: Called contractor mid-April, requesting that he visit my new home. I wanted him to create a built in in my living room and embellish my (MBR) tray ceiling. No response. Finally got him on the phone, he promised to come by...but then he repeatedly had an excuse not to (would not have known that he wasn't planning on showing up, but I called his coworker and brother) on 3 occasions. After lambasting him on the phone, he finally stopped by, did minimal (small jobs) work, and promised to take on my project. I unbelievably gave him a $500 check on June 2... he cashed it on June 5... but has never shown up nor answered my emails and faxes. I know that he does excellent work, having used him at a slow point in his (seasonal) career last year. He explained to me that he needs to complete work on a $2 million house before starting mine. I called him WAY before this job had been contracted and am insulted that he has put me off so long and doesn't have the DECENCY to return my calls. His check cashing ability far outweighs his ability to make a phone call.
