We had Brave Custom Woodworking Solutions design, build and install a new wall entertainment center. We are very happy with the final product. We are impressed with their attention to detail and the responsiveness to our comments. They went to great lengths to insure that the style and paint color matched our existing crown molding. They worked with us in designing bookcase so that it was attractive and functional, including a customized pull-out computer laptop tray. The installation team did a great job and even added extra bracing so that we can mount a television on the unit and concealed the wires. Highly recommend.

We hired Brave Custom Woodworking Solutions to replace our custom home theater built-ins that were damaged due to a leaking water pipe. The team was a pleasure to work with and delivered an outstanding product. They were patient with us while working through various options and the overall design. We asked them to match the color of our existing bar cabinets, which have a glazed finish, and they nailed it. We are extremely pleased with both the quality of the unit and how professional everyone was to work with. From the designers to the installers, the personnel at Brave are top notch and we highly recommend them for custom cabinetry. Although we did not request this, the unit was installed a few days before the Superbowl which was a nice bonus. Everyone that came to watch the game could not get over how great the built-ins look!

Working with Brave was an absolute joy from start to finish, as always! Our new playroom cabinetry is game-changing - gorgeous and providing a remarkable amount of storage. My family has been lucky enough to work with Rob Grant for over ten years (and three houses!) now. Each and every project - big or small - has been a resounding success, and had always added such value to our home. For this project, we wanted to add closed, functional storage where there had once been a clunky coat closet. Our new built-ins make a cramped space feel roomy; the added storage is simply amazing. As ever, Rob & Co. were wonderful to work with. It is remarkable how Rob is able to re-envision a room. Equally remarkable is how fast and efficient the installation process is! Brave worked with us through out the project and kept us informed on when the install would occur. The Brave team came and installed both built in cabinets in one day and were extremely professional. My wife had some last minute changes, and Brave had no problem to continue to work with us to get it perfect. The install looks amazing and we are very pleased with the finished product. I highly recommend using this company to anyone who is considering new or updating their current cabinets.

it starts with a design appointment, about 2 hours to go over what you want and the design style. Measurements are taken and colors are chosen. Then about a week later you get a design printout showing the cabinet and its dimensions. After a careful review and Q&A on the plan, you get an updated drawing ready for approval. It was easy to work with the designer to get everything just right. We waited about 4 weeks for our project to be built, this time varies depending on their work back log. Scheduling installation was easy, but was delayed due the big snow storm. In the end the work was completed with only one day in the house. The installation team was great. They were prompt, professional, and superior craftsman. The shop built my cabinetry in 6 main pieces. Then the installers did a great job fitting them together and cut all the access points for the power, lights, and speaker wire. They blended in the molding and made it look like it has always been part of the house. They cleaned up after themselves and we're done in about 7 hours. Overall very satisfied. It is a great product for a good price. I would highly recommend Brave if you need any custom cabinetry. I have already passed their name on to friends.

We chatted with Don at Brave Construction at the beginning of this year to ask about having a pergola built. At the time, we were just tossing around the idea of having one built but didn't want a standard pergola so we knew we were going to need master carpenters to do the work. Brave did work for us in the past so we knew they had high quality work.
We went back and forth with Don for a while on what we wanted and then finally settled on a 10' x 16' (post to post) Select Tight Knot Cedar pergola design I saw from a picture. Don and the Brave team were great at figuring out what they needed based on a photo. I know that was a challenge since it was a smaller photo with very little information. However, they did an awesome job and we couldn't be more happy with the outcome. They fabricated the pergola in their shop and then installed it over a 2 day period.

The entire operation from beginning to end was perfect. Rob Grant and all his employees were experts in their field and most professional. The installers were very accommodating to my computer hookup needs. They consulted me often on exactly where I wanted the grommet and access to the outlets. My husband has a defribrillater that had to sit on the desk and the installers suggested options.
The cost was reasonable; the project was complete within stated time period; and I would use Brave Construction again for any project.

Everything went well. We especially liked the men that installed the bookcases for us. They worked with us and gave us ideas on how to change the depth/height of the bookcases. They helped us customize it. The installation was great and they very meticulous. They made sure everything was even and closed right. They were able to show us a computer generated image of what it would look like once it was finished.

The personnel at Contemporary Woodcrafts did an outstanding job with the installation of our custom-made entertainment center. First, the service was excellent. During our initial meeting to discuss the details of our design, Benton was very helpful and personable. He answered all of our questions, provided us comprehensive information, and guided us through the process from selection to installation. Rob completed a great job with the measurements, for upon installation, we had zero problems with the fit of the entertainment center. The gentlemen who installed the center were courteous and competent. Upon completion, we were thrilled with the results - a beautiful, high-quality entertainment center. Thank you, Contemporary Woodcrafts for a great job and for turning our vision of an entertainment center into a reality. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend their business to other.

The process from start to finish was pleasant. We met with Rob in his office on a weekend, and while in his office we used his CAD program to design our office based on the dimensions we provided. Once we agree upon a finish, stain and types of storage we scheduled our site visit for accurate measurements. We were kept up to date on the status of our furniture during the whole manufacturing process. Once they were ready we scheduled our install date. It took a few days for them to finish but when they did it was a beautiful job. Even the smallest of details were not over looked. We have had so many compliments on our office since it was finished.

The entire process was professional and flawless. My wife and I had been wanting to install bookcases on each side of the fireplace since we bought our house. We selected CW because of AL - and we couldn't be happier with our decision. From design, to follow-up, to the professionalism of the installers, the work was top notch.
In particular, our fireplace had two ceiling beams on each side, CW installers carefully worked, measured and cut to where you can't tell where our beams and and the new bookcases begin. Simply, I will definitely be hiring them again as we make our way to do other rooms in the house.

The carefully explained the options for materials and cost. They delivered on time and their installer was very professional. My space was out of square so they spent extra time to ensure a perfect fit. I will use them again on another project.

Well I hesitate to publish this review because it happened so many years ago and I don't want to get my facts wrong.
But I have to say out of all my home improvements, this is the one that every time I look at it I say to myself..I LOVE these cabinets. I mean it has been over 10 years and I have no regrets. They were down in Springfield at the time, not Chantilly. I do remember that they did not do any electrical work (moving outlets etc.) and I had to hire someone for that part. They took measurements and then built it at their warehouse and installed it in our house so we did not have much fuss or mess.
These cabinets really changed the look of the room and added so much needed storage. I'm sorry this review is not very detailed and when I get ambitious I will take some photos to publish, but really I think the fact that I still think these cabinets were the best decision I made speaks highly of this company.

They're fabulous. They never leave a mess. It was an excellent experience. Their craftsmanship was beautiful. The subcontractors that did all of the staining did it all by hand. The cabinet in the other part of the house was also custom built to fit the area and was painted when finished.
Chris is the actual installer that oversaw the project and he was fabulous, too. He was easy to work with and very professional and responsive. I've used them for other projects, too, and nothing is too big or too small for them to handle.
