Nathan showed up on time, was very professional, courteous, informative and went out of his way to find an easier, safe way to replace the wiring without going into another unit. He explained the problems left by the company that installed my upgraded air conditioner and even took before and after pictures of his work and the work that was done incorrectly by the company that installed the unit. I even had a switch put in to my laundry room. I'm only going to deal with Beacon for now on. Nathan you rock!!!!! Thank you sooo much. Now hopefully when the technician arrives tomorrow, I might actually have air conditioning this time.

First time I'm giving a review on Angi. Terrible! Quoted $2000 to install 1 outlet and tried twice tried to sell services for a monthly fee.

This company is incredible. I had three companies come to my house to provide a quote for replacing my garbage disposal. Beacon's price was approximately 50% of the other bids. I just love the integrity and affordability of this company.

Beacon services came out to replace a burned out water heater and bring rig up to code. They were punctual and showed up within the hour. The job was completed by the evening. The tech Paul is a rare professional that is highly experienced, compassionate, and personable.

Absolutely horrendous plumbing service! I recently had the displeasure of hiring Beacon Electric And Plumbing, and it was a complete nightmare from start to finish. Let me share the horrifying details of my experience, which I hope will serve as a warning to others. To begin with, I had made a reservation for the plumber's first visit, only to be left waiting in vain. Beacon Electric And Plumbing had the audacity to cancel at the last minute, leaving me in a lurch. This blatant disregard for punctuality and common courtesy set the tone for the rest of the ordeal. When the plumber finally arrived for the second visit, it became abundantly clear things were not going well. He arrived around 9am, said he would be in 10 minutes and wandered in an hour later. I had a tiny leak in a pipe, a problem that should have been easily fixable. However, instead of addressing the actual issue, this plumber inexplicably decided that my three-year-old water heater needed to be moved a mere three inches. What followed was a disaster of epic proportions. After touring the house, the plumber decided he needed a break from his few minutes of walking around and said he would be back in an hour and left. Some hours later he returned. He was also very fond of long telephone conversations. After the plumber moved the water heater, he made a swift exit without bothering to check their work. It wasn't until they were long gone that I discovered my basement was flooding. I spent the entire previous evening worried about a tiny pin leak now in desperation to contain the water, resorting to placing buckets every 30 minutes to prevent further damage. When I called the plumber for assistance, their brilliant advice was to hit the new water valve with a hammer. Unbelievable! Despite their supposed fix, the leaking returned, and by 10:30 pm, I was pulling up rugs and furniture and turning off the water in the house. Turning on the water heater caused an immediate flood in the basement, a problem I had never experienced before the plumber's ill-advised meddling. The timing of this catastrophe makes it hard to believe it was a mere coincidence. It seems clear that the plumber's reckless actions were the cause of this new, devastating problem. As a result of this dreadful experience, as a heart failure patient I was forced to pull up carpets, move all my belongings away from the flooding, and endure an immense amount of stress and inconvenience. To add insult to injury, the plumber had the nerve to assure me that they would fix the problem but failed to follow through. In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how utterly disastrous this plumber's service was. Their incompetence, lack of professionalism, and disregard for the well-being of their customers is appalling. I implore anyone in need of plumbing services to steer clear of Beacon Electric And Plumbing, lest they find themselves in a similar nightmare. Worst plumbing service ever

Friday, the technician, was terrific. Everything is up and running

Called Beacon for reviewing electrical issue with shortages. They were able to come out the next day and Rebecca was great with scheduling our appointment and keeping us updated on the scheduled arrival time window. Our technician was Jacob and he was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the process; what he was looking at, what he would be doing and why, and was upfront about pricing. We will be using them again for future electrical services.

Great! Plus Jamie showed me a couple of potential problems I should look into for future projects. Both technicians were very friendly, competent and efficient. Going to use them for my next plumbing or electrical project!

Beacon is Amazing! PERIOD. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Beacon! They exceeded my expectations, and I'm a tough cookie to please. From the first contact to our immense satisfaction with their work - Beacon is a 5-star company - hands down. Sharon contacted us within minutes of our request for service. As home-bound seniors, we had a lot of repairs, complications, and challenges, but Sharon's patience and flexibility was so great. She got us an appointment the very next day. And Courtney was incredibly helpful in answering our tons of questions and getting us set up for our service plan. Milton, the hands-down best electrician in my book, arrived on time with his professional team, and he came prepared to not only fix what we needed, but he also found cost-saving repairs (we didn't even realize we needed) to save us money and headaches in the long run. Best of all, Milton had all the lights and equipment already in his truck to take care of everything that same day! We don't have a lot of money, but Milton didn't hesitate to work with us to get discounts for the repair, and he found cost-effective solutions that we can use for our next service need - which is plumbing. We didn't know Beacon did plumbing too, so we're looking forward to another great experience on that service too! We signed up for the lighthouse club with free inspections for plumbing and electrical and a ton of discounts we can really use. When everything was done, Milton checked to make sure we were 100% happy before he left. Plus, we got a follow up call from the office to make sure we got everything we needed. Love that! We are just immensely satisfied with the service we got from Beacon - I highly, highly recommend this company.

Very well. The work was done efficiently and cleanly. The electrician explained what was needed and why.

It went very well. No problem detected with hall switches-all working. Outlet was replaced. Service technician was friendly, efficient, and professional. Rates were more economical than others listed on Angi's.

Very well-however, there was some sticker shock involved in the price; I guess that's the difference between having a bonded electrician versus a handyman working on the ceiling fan-the cost of the bonded electrician was perhaps twice that of the "I got from handymen/women. The price of the simple installation a year ago before the fan stopped working was half what I paid today. I have to say it was worth the price! But pricey it was-if you are on a very tight budget, this might not be the way to go. But if you want real quality it is the way to go!

Had a section of my polybutylene water line change from the water heater to the main manifold. Jason, the plumber was experienced and very professional. Worked me through what he was going to do before starting the work. Replaced the pipe and made sure the issue was fixed before leaving. Took the time to give me an estimate for replacing the entire polybutylene plumbing in the house as this system is no longer recommended due to high failure rate.

Beacon’s Andre did a super job. Recommended repairing fan motor vs replacing entire unit. Saved me time and money. Their office staff kept me apprised of the delivery date for the parts, and schedule for installation. Installation occurred the day after part was received. Andre showed up exactly on time and was very efficient at his work. I highly recommend him and them.

Jason did a great job. We have a complicated underfloor heating pre-installed. He worked very hard with us to strategize to relocate the shower, toilet and sink plumbing and add additional drain without impacting the existing heating system.

Frustrating to deal with and not customer friendly. Had an appointment scheduled for July 7, 2021 between 2:30 - 4pm, waited all day for them. Got a call at 2:55pm that they can't make it and offered to reschedule for Friday July 9 2021. They would not tell me over the phone even an approximate cost of flange replacement.

When we experienced flickering lights and partial blackouts in our home, Beacon Homes Services sent someone to our home in Rockville right away. Jacob quickly and expertly diagnosed the problem, which turned out to be our electric meter. He and his colleagues in the office contacted Pepco and explained it was an emergency, complete with photos, and we were able to get a Pepco emergency crew out to do a temporary repair within 2.5 hours. Jacob had to leave for another job, but he took the time to phone us to check on the status of Pepco's repair at the end of the day. He also made some wiring improvements to our electrical panel while we were waiting for Pepco, and the rates were quite reasonable. I would definitely hire Beacon Home Services again.

The company was very responsive with scheduling and texting appointment and estimated arrival times however the wheels fell off after that. The (2) technicians arrived promptly and were courteous. After showing them the assignment which was to install a ceiling fan into a bedroom with recessed lighting, they disappeared into their truck for a few minutes and returned with a quote of $1,184. This was to cover the labor of the installation and include a light switch. Knowing the price of the installation of the four other rooms I had this done previously, I sent them on their merry way and hired another contractor who cost less than $300 for the same job.

Technican was professional and knowledgable. 5 stars for him but not the company. They called me after I had done a search on Angi even though I hadn't decided to engage anyone yet. They had availablity 2 days out, so I figured I'd let them come do an estimate. They sent multiple texts to confirm the appointment. After I walked the provider through what I needded, he went back to the truck to do some estimation. The bundle pricing quotes were unacceptable for the work I needed, especially compared to hourly rates from other excellent providers. For example, they quoted a package charge for replacing 20 switches when we just needed 1 replaced and 1 rewired, and their ceiling fan replacement quote was twice the highest pre-discount price found elsewhere on Angi. They presented the quotes in an iPad app that's nearly identical to what car dealer finance managers use for extended warranties, clearcoat, etc. As soon as I saw that, I knew they what they were up to. I paid the $59 visit fee and will go back to the place I've given 5 stars to in the past.
