Battlefield Plumbing performed my Interior repipe. I have a two bedroom, one bathroom in Alexandria. I bought the property in 2008 and quickly starting experiencing pipes splitting and bursting often causing a great amount of water damage and flooding. I wanted to replace my "POLY CRAPPY" pipes with COPPER. Once I discovered that there were plumbers out there who specialized in repipes I quickly located Mr. Neri Serrano with Battlefield Plumbing. My experience was good from the start. Neri was very knowledgeable and able to do my estimate over the phone. Gina Marrero in the office handled all the paper work/contract etc. and she was so nice, helpful and very efficient. She made me feel at ease before the work got started. The estimate I received was fair and better than the average plumber (who did not specialize in repipes). The work was completed in two days. And YES there was a lot of dry wall cutting but Neri knew exactly where to cut, and the dry wall repair was done perfectly, even my popcorn ceiling was repaired and looks perfect. Its been over a year since this work was completed and I still sleep very well at night and no longer listen for leaking/spraying pipes.

Hired to replaced plastic piping with new CPVC pipes in condo unit. Piping job was completed in three days but very careless and messy. Spilled soldering fluid on new laminate flooring. Burned wall in utility closet and questioned me when I asked that it be painted. Also, they left old pipes in the ceiling. I guess that is normal according to Neri. Painters were very sloppy and careless. Didn't know semi gloss from flat. I provided the paint. Painters didn't know difference in the two colors. Had to tell them which is which. Could not paint a straight line. Damage to bathtub faucet cover, shower rod broken, wall circuit panel broken off, corner of kitchen top broken off, removed soldering spill with an Exacto knife and damaged laminate sealing. Painters did not move furniture back and just ran out. Tried to phone company and no one answers. Phone doesn't even announce name of company.
Update: Neri did come back and have the painters fix the problems they left. I think Neri went out of his way to accommodate my concerns and I am grateful for that. He did return to fix another leaky faucet after this. I had my problems with his lead painter and workers.

We called Battlefield Plumbing Thursday morning, Nerio arrived in the early afternoon and gave us an estimate and told us that they could not begin the job until Saturday. Bright and early Saturday morning Nerio arrived and worked all day leaving late Saturday and we had water for the first time in 4 days. Nerio returned Sunday morning and finished up the job by 1:00 PM. The plaster and paint crew was there bright and early Monday morning, they had to wait for the city inspector. The inspector arrived about 2:30 PM and approved the entire job without any issues. Once the city inspector approved the job, the plaster and paint crew began right away and by 7:00 PM Monday night all of the places opened up were patched and repaired. Job well done. If I ever have another house with Quest pipes, Battlefield Plumbing would be the only plumbing company I would call.

overall good, but they need to work on the subs they hire to do the drywall fixes to give a fully professional experience.

Battlefield delivered what they promised for the price. We called Thursday morning and a crew was on site Saturday morning to begin repairs after a pipe failure (The owner Neri and Douglas). They repaired the leak and restored water to our home by Saturday night. On Monday they were back to finish the pipe replacement (14 fixtures in all were repiped). The drywall and painting crew arrived on Tuesday to begin the wall repairs. The County Building Inspector arrived at 11:00 am Tuesday and certified the plumbing work. The inspector was pleased with the quality of the installation. After that, Alexander and Marcus did their drywall magic on the walls followed by the paint. This took 2 days. It was impossible to tell where the holes had been. They did an excellent job on the drywall. Nightly cleanup and final cleanup were good. Painting was good overall, but the team rushed toward the end. I pointed out a few missed spots and they were immediately fixed.

Overall, we are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Battlefield Plumbing.

They arrived on time and were very professional. They had all the work done in two days but were delayed two days more by the city inspector who took his time coming to the house. They did a great job in replacing the pipes and patching the walls. The guy who patched the walls even used the extra patch in one bath that I was preparing to paint to fill in other holes in the wall that weren't part of the job. I would definitely hire them again. Hopefully, I won't have to!

The entire process took about three days and when they were done, except for the new copper pipe, it would be difficult to tell Battlefield was ever there. The staff was very friendly and respectfully of my tenants. I would definitely recommend their services as well as, use them again.

My original plumbing system used polybutylene pipes and fittings. As many are aware, there was a major class action lawsuit filed against this pipe's manufacturer for premature failure. Unfortunately, to qualify for payment under the resulting settlement one must have filed prior to May 2009. One of the fittings failed on the second floor of my home which led to substantial water damage on the main level. I called several plumbing companies, none of which came close to Battfield's price or warranty; moreover, none of them offered turnkey service. When having your home repiped obviously the drywall has to be cut to expose where the new pipes are being installed. All the other companies either didn't include the drywall repair or charged an excessive amount to sub-contract the repair work. When Battlefield provides its proposal it includes all the pipe, all the fittings (toilet, sink, water heater, ect shutoff valves), and all the repair work. The entire process took about five days and when they were done, except for the new copper pipe, it would be difficult to tell Battlefield was ever there.

Overall I would say I am very satisfied. They are turn-key so you can be assured your drywall and painting will promptly after repiping. There are several repipe outfits in the area and it appears some of the subs probably work for more than one. I saw one of the painter/drywall folks was driving a truck with the "Atlantic Repiping" signage....clearly one of Battlefield's competitors. I have to give big props to Neri as he and I exchanged numerous emails over the months prior to repiping and he is courteous and willing to work with you on your specs....Certainly an A in this regard. On the day of the repipe, the price of the repipe went up several hundred as the market price for copper had reportedly increased. Not much I could have done about that since it was the day of the repipe. Also was presented with a final invoice with $300 higher for two tub diverters installed that was not included in the original quote. When I brought this to Neri's attention, he had the bill adjusted.....nevertheless, I don't like surprises, and is the reason I almost downgraded from an "A" to a "B" overall. I don't think you have tons of options when it comes to "L" copper repiping and overall they are a pretty well oiled machine. The other fluke is the plumbers did not hook up an espresso machine under our sink but when brought to attention, it was promptly fixed the next day. So overall maybe this is to expected...on complex jobs the mark of a good company is communication and responsiveness and I'd say enthusiastically they are fantastic at this.

Also remarkable is the degree to which the subcontracted plumbers cleaned up every day....they literally put plastic drop cloths all over the garage....greatly minimizing the dust....trust me...there will be dust no matter what, but appears they do a great job to minimize the cleanup.

Also had the company install different hose bibs than the typical ones.....on the back specified and purchased on my own a hot and cold fixture. Neri was very willing to help me pick out the right fixture....so overall I think you will have a good experience, just make sure you assume nothing and specify exactly what you want if out of the ordinary.

Overall experience with Battlefield was excellent! I got quotes from 2 other plumbing companies and decided to go with Battlefield because they were very competitive. Neri, Battlefield’s owner, took my initial call, came to the house to survey the situation, and gave me a signed quote on the spot. He also did all the drywall cutting and repiping along with a helper. He had a drywall guy do the wall repair and finish painting since that is an art in itself. I was amazed at the speed with which the job was done. The first day all the drywall cuts were made to ensure proper access to the fixtures in the house. The second day involved installation of all the new piping. The third through fifth day involved the county plumbing inspection, drywall repair and painting.

Overall the work was fantastic. He completed the repiping in two days. His estimate was 1/3 to 3 times cheaper than competitors in our area. The one thing that stood out with Battlefield was his specialization in replacing polybutelene piping vs. just plumbing. In addition, he replaced two toilets within our home. I highly recommend this company for this type of pipe replacement.

Service was great. Even though my condo was already a construction site due to a leak above me, Neri's folks were extremely diligent in covering everything in plastic to protect my home. Had a bump in the road because the texture in my ceiling is very unique and the original shot at matching came up woefully short and there was a short delay in waiting on a texture guy (who was sick) that ended up doing the shotty job. However afterwards, Neri and Tino (the contractor on site) insisted on scraping the poor workmanship down (almost doubling the time they spent on my condo) and giving it another go. I have to admit that I'm very pleased with it now. There are several spots where cable was run or patches showing due old water damage repairs in my ceiling are showing and Tino did the BEST at matching the texture, he even redid one patch that was in the vicinity of his repairs to make the whole ceiling look better. They also rerouted my fridge water line at no extra cost. They offered the best price and even tho they did not have alot of feedback on Angies list they had provided me with an extensive list of referrals. I called them all and was able to reach a little over half, and each person had nothing but great things to say about Battlefield. Neri was responsive to e-mail and phone calls everytime. His guys always showed up within 20 minutes of start time (which was 7am!). I will be keeping Neri's info on hand as my future plumber if I run into any plumbing problems. I also plan on remodeling the master bath next year and replacing my water heater and will be using Neri again. I have had NIGHTMARE experiences with plumbers in the past, so I am very picky. Bottom line. His prices are great (lowest out of 3), he stayed with it until the job was done right, and he did not ask for my final payment (2/3 of the estimated price) until all the texture was redone to satisfaction.

They did a very good job. The line broke on Monday am and they were here on Wednesday am. They stayed with the job until 9:00pm. They had to dig two very deep trenches in order to access the line and did so without complaint. They placed cloths in home to prevent mud tracking and did a very good job. I would glady hire them again. UDPATE (05/04/2010) I am happy to report that the fix is holding and the new line is performing as expected. Good job under very difficult circumstance...hard to find folks like this.........
