We wanted to use a local company instead of one of the big box shed dealers. Our backyard is hard to access - lots of raised beds - but they handled that easily. Mike was friendly and helpful. Always available to answer questions. Ours was a small job - 8 x 8 shed - but he gave us his full attention as far as I could tell. The work was completed as scheduled and the work crew was professional and friendly.

Outstanding. We have had two yard sheds built by Mike and his team at two different houses and I would definitely use them again. Mike agreed to a slight roof adjustment on both sheds so we complied with Fairfax County placement requirements and then he stood by his product. When we recently discovered a problem, several years after building our latest shed, Mike sent his team to inspect what happened and then sent them to fix the problem which was caused by the failures of a former employee (and not by a defective product). Ed and a coworker did the repairs and spent half a day fixing the problem. They told us what happened, apologized for the error, and made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. Great customer service and a terrific product. I DEFINITELY recommend Backyard Sheds to other buyers.

Initally there was a delay due to weather and work crew availability.   Angela kept us informed and  accomodated our time crunch.  Once scheduled, the crew was on time and did a great job.  No leaks, no problems we are very satisfied.

Overall very good. Prompt response to a request for estimate. Good discussion on site of options. Slightly complicated by slope for build. More expensive than sheds pre built and delivered as its built on site. If you have a yard that cannot accommodate a delivery of a fully built shed, this is a very good alternative. Weather delay caused it to run a little longer than estimate but the quality of construction is very good. They knew all the local codes for setbacks and provided recommendations for placement in the yard.

I'm very pleased with the entire experience.
The owner came to my house on a saturday to give an estimate.  I got a couple other quotes and his price was competitive.
The crew arrived at my home on time and completed the installation as described.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the shed.  It's very well built.  The cost was a bit more than the pre-fab'd sheds at home depot, but it was worthwhile to have a crew customize the construction and leveling in my back yard.

Installed good quality shed in timeframe provided.  Workers were great, nice quality shed, looks very nice.  Many neighbors have commented  and were interested.  Shed is raised on blocks 4 inches to keep it dry which is fine.  Need lattice around bottom of shed to finish the appearance and keep critters, leaves out. Unfortunately price given for small amount of plastic lattice was way too expensive (1/4 of the price of the shed). which was very dissapointing.

We went to the Manassas show room and looked at the sheds on display, and picked out a 10 x 16 shed.  We were able to see the colors in person and picked out what we wanted.  We scheduled a tentative date for installation at that time. They were very flexible when we needed to delay delivery while we had a gravel pad and a small retaining wall built.  The workers showed up on time, built it in less than 5 hours and took care to touch up any scuffs.  They were very pleasant and did a very careful job..

Contacted Backyard Shed & Deck for a complete removal and rebuild of a shed destroyed by a previous storm in the summer. I could not have asked for better quality and service. Mike came out and gave the estimate and set the date which seemed far out but once he explained I was more than happy to book the date as I knew exactly what I was getting. Dealing with the office was such a pleasure and the all the staff are very nice and courteous.  The job is completed and we are very satisfied with the work and the workers I would definitely recommend this company for any job.

Backyard Shed & Deck Co. delivered the 16' X 8' shed I ordered and promptly started to work on the foundation. The next day the flooring support, flooring, and sides were installed. The following day the roof support, roof decking and shingles were started. The next day the siding and door were installed. Mike and his crew were very professional and did a great job.

It went very well.  Was not real happy about the waiting time between order and delivery/install.  But it was done and we are very satisfied with the job.  We would hire this company again for another shed if we needed it.

The owner of the company came out before and after to check on the work.  The work was done very quickly.  The shed was built in an hour and a half.  It was good that he came out afterwards just to check and see if it was done right.

We chose a pricey option, hence the lower grade in that category.  My other cavil is that, on the first day of a two-day project, they showed up several hours late.  The crew was professional, friendly, and helpful when they did arrive, and they did a very good job of removing the old structure and assembling the new one.  I would recommend them again.

It's now May 2010 and the shed is in perfect condition, the back side of the shed had all the vinyl siding blow away I simply called the company up and they replaced it all for free. that's old school good service. I would highly recommend this company i've noticed several sheds around the community i live in (hamlets at red cedar in leesburg off evergreen mills road) where several folks have had sheds built by other companies probably in the last year or so and they're falling apart, or the foundation caved in inbetween... my shed on the other hand is in perfect condition and can tell will for years to come. After installing the concerte foundation and joists a few days later 2 young men probably in their very early 20's or late teens came out in probably 100 degree weather and built this thing all by themselves from scratch probably from a pre cut kit within about 4 or 5-7 hours, i seroiusly thought they weren't going to make it the whole day.
