Ark Trapping was kind, professional and a fair price. He took his time, showed how the mice were entering, and fixed the holes. We spent months trying to take care of the issue oursleves. We haven't seen a mouse in almost a month. We would highly and use Ark Trapping in the future.

Burt is a very kind and nice person. He was patient and explained everything about the attic and roof structure to me. He came back three times in the morning to check the trap and worked hours to enhance the attic fan fence on the roof, as well as sealed a hole from attic to outside. Price is super fair and I am so glad I found Burt on Angi. Highly recommend him.

Bert came in and quickly caught a bird that got into our dryer by squeezing between the vent slats then became stuck at the distant end; the dryer. He cleaned up all the old gunk under the dryer (we were going to clean it up after he left) and ensured that the vent was not damaged at both ends and part of the way into the house. He covered the outside vent (33ft up the side of the house) with a metal critter proof cover that still allowed standard airflow. He release out visitor after securing everything up to ensure it did not get back in and still had a chance at life. Really appreciate is friendly and professional demeanor and I will recommend him to all my friends and family in the area (Norther VA).

Burt arrived within 15 minutes from being called on Monday Feb 22, 2020.He quickly diagnosed the issue we were having as grey squirrels in our attic. Burt showed me the entry points the squirrels made in our roof (which he will seal once job is completed). Burt explained in detail his tactful plan, which included daily trips to our house. He has shown up every day this week and so far has successfully caught 5 squirrels, 3 of which we firmly believe were in our attic. During his Friday visit, Burt said he will be back next week to finish the job. Burt is very knowledgeable and extremely hard working. We have already recommended Burt to others. THANK YOU BURT!

Bert was fantastic. He came in, inspected the issue, diagnosed the mouse problem, and then took extra time helping us understand the problem, how to fix it, how to prevent it. I hired 3 companies before I found Burt on Angie’s list. He did an amazing job sealing all the holes where the squirrels were getting in. The previous owners never did anything about the squirrel problem. Burt must have sealed 10 or more holes where they were getting in. I would highly recommend him!

I could not be more impressed with the work of Ark Trapping. Not only did Burt remove all of the nesting materials from the vents as well as insulation, but he replaced the plastic vent pipes with metal ones. Ho then install cages on the outside of the two vents to prevent birds from returning. Excellent service, clean-up and professional all the way. I could not be more pleased with the results.

Burt was recommended by a friend when I began hearing loud screeching noises multiple times a day in my home. I called & he immediately picked up & began diagnosing my problem. Over the course of 3-days, he helped guide me & determine what animal might be in my home. After a few recordings I made, he determined that I had a tree frog in or under my home. (I was amazed & relieved since the noise was really loud.) He did offer to squeeze me into his schedule many times but we agreed it was best to first figure out the general location of the noise. Before he could make it out, I found the tiny frog hiding in a plant in my home. Burt is now my go to wildlife & critter guy. I'd definitely use him again & recommend him to anyone. He always promptly followed up & showed care & concern for my stressful situation. He didn't even charge me for his knowledge, advice & guidance. I'd use him again without hesitation. He's so trustworthy.

Burt was very professional and helpful. He arrived on time and quickly found the dead animal; he removed it and applied an odor killer. He also located different points where the animal could have entered the attic and sealed them up, and he removed a nest from our attic fan. His price was fair and we would highly recommend his services.

We contacted Ark Trapping about a large snake we had on our log rack near to the house. Burt came out and was able to capture it and relocate it. He also inspected the house for other critters and potential issues with house entry points. He pointed out a few areas of concern and caulk sealed a couple of areas needing to be filled.

Very pleased with Burt. Got points with me by responding very quickly. Came out, assessed the problem, provided me with details & took photos, and with my "go ahead", he began solving the problem. Very professional and would definitely call him, if necessary.

Burt and his assistant came out promptly, assessed the situation and evicted two bats, sanitized the area and reinstalled the microwave oven. He then used a ladder to access the external vent and noted that the protective vent flapper was missing and a screen mesh was loose just enough to allow critters in. He removed the mesh and cleaned out the vent pipe which evidently had had a birds nest inside of it also. With the vent cleared of debris, he fabricated an new vent flapper on the spot and installed a new screen mesh. The vent fan exhausts much more air now. A very professional job from start to finish. Well worth the money spent.

We selected Ark Trapping, based upon quantity and quality of reviews for "animal trapping". We called on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend. Burt gave us some free advice, and we tried to trap overnight. No joy, but still grawing. Grrr. We then went back to Burt, who agreed to come out labor day, after detailing his charges ($199 for a thorough inspection plus treatment, depending on what he finds). He came out on Labor Day, as promised, and did a super inspection, of attic and basement/foundation. Even under an extensive deck. He explained what clues he saw of animals in the past (mice, flying squirrels, snakes) to us, and concluded it was probably flying squirrels in the attic and perhaps mice in the basement. First, he sealed up multiple likely entry points in foundation, then set traps, where we could monitor them. We are so impressed with his detailed knowledge of the behavior of common animals, his knowledge of their behavior, and how to catch/eliminate them. A terrific experience. He charges for what he does, and it is well worth it. Hire him and sleep in peace! End result: animals had exited house and traps remain unsprung after two weeks. But we think we have a sealed house, how. Nice going, Burt! )

Burt came out to the house after we found evidence of mice in our food pantry. I would highly recommend Burt to anyone! He was responsive, honest, and professional. He did a thorough inspection of the house, set multiple traps for the mice and made recommendations on closing multiple points of entry to the house. He promptly followed up in a return visit to seal those holes. Burt has significant expertise in the field and uses traps rather than another pest companies that used poison which resulted in dead mice in my walls. Burt's traps caught 2 mice within the first hour of them being set. Burt also followed up with a phone call like he promised to see how things were going - he really cared about solving our mice problem. I would not hesitate to call Burt again for any future rodent issues.

ARK Trapping was great! Knowledgeable, professional, and extremely courteous. I couldn't recommend more highly. I had a small hole just behind some of the brick on my house, allowing some mice to get into my attic. ARK diagnosed it and repaired the hole and laid a detailed plan for trapping the mice. It worked great!

There was a live animal stuck in our microwave vent. Burt was able to make it out the same day and rescued the poor bird. He carefully removed our large heavy microwave and expertly dislodged the starling. He disinfected the vent (cleaned bird droppings) and placed a screen properly on the outside opening to prevent further accidental entries. Lastly, he replaced the microwave. He was very clean, gentle and thorough. Very pleased with his service.

A squirrel got in the inner wall of my house and attic everyday at a certain time after a nest of 3 baby squirrels were removed earlier by another repairman from a hole chewed wide open on the exterior wall of my house. We brought in pest control companies to evaluate the squirrel removal job and cost. What they did was no more than to sell their expensive insulation replacement business without providing a real solution that we needed. Their specialists didn't even check the roof of our house to identify the actual cause of the problem; they lied and dramatized about the poor insulation condition of our attic which turned out was not the case. We finally found Burt from Angie's List: Burt was patient, responsible, courteous and has unique tactics in removing the mother squirrel that haunted our house and privacy everyday by setting up traps on the roof and under the trees. Burt also hand caught one baby squirrel wandering in our attic. (That might be the reason why the mother squirrel had to come to our house everyday at a certain time). Burt then repaired the holes he found on our chimney and roof and replaced the attic fan. Highly recommend Burt for his superb expertise in animal removal!

The owner Burt Herbert showed up within a couple of hours after I called. He was very knowledgeable and observant. He saw squirrel footprints in the dust of a chair in the attic, took a picture with his phone and enlarged it so I could see it. He noticed there was old bat guano and guessed I might have had some bats up there a few years ago, which was completely correct. He set traps on the roof and within a week I didn't hear the squirrels scampering around in the attic. He came back and covered the holes along the edge of the roof which the squirrels had entered through. I would highly recommend this company because of the owner's knowledge, friendliness, professionalism and extreme attention to detail.

Burt located the dead mice in the wall and removed them and deodorized that area. The smell is completely gone. He did a thorough inspection of our house and plugged some holes where mice may have been getting in. He also installed some type of seal around the attic fan to keep out the squirrels that had gotten into the attic at some point in the past. He also noticed we had some loose siding on the house and fixed that for us. He was most professional and extremely nice to work with as well as extremely knowledgeable about the habits of critters that like to move into our homes. I would highly recommend him.

He removed the bird's nest, cleaned out the lint that had built up as a result, and installed a metal rodent/bird shield for the vent. I thought he was very honest and a heck of a nice guy. I would hire him again.

He found evidence of two kinds of "home invaders" and began immediately to lure them out, then seal the spaces where they got in. He made several visits and after the third, we have not had any evidence that we are still harboring wildlife. He also pointed out some maintenance issues that we had not noticed and will hire other contractors to address since they were outside the range of his services.
