The staff was always very friendly and professional with me. They have a woman there who is their "Apple Expert" ad she is very knowledgeable. Those are the good points.
While I know they can't tell me right there what is wrong and what it will cost to fix it i did have a few issues with their service; 1) they were horrible at calling me back. 2) turns out i had two major issues; my Optical Drive and the Mother Board. Fine ok, i get it and it was expensive but… they raised ht price from what they quoted me after the initial evaluation, when I said "that is too much, put back the old one and I won't get it fixed" they then lowered it to what they quoted me the first time. I do not like that type of hustling. 3) they did not use Apple original parts and never told me! I have a friend in the computer business, when I brought it home he was over and noticed it was not apple original parts. 4) because of this my computer (yes it works) is slower then ever, still makes a loud fan sound and can't play certain high res video games it used to handle easily.
Again I am fine with not original parts, had they asked me or informed me and got my consent. They did not! I feel i wasted $500 plus that this cost, as i should have just spent $2K on a new iMac.
NIce people, but they don't communicate well and then do things without giving you full disclosure. Not Cool… i won't go back!

The prices were good. They were able to give a quick diagnostic. They did exactly what they needed to do. I trust them.

I took my wife's desk top PC to ACS based on it becoming unacceptably slow, but advising them that Staples had put in a new hard drive just a few months ago. The next day they contacted me and stated that the hard drive Staples had installed was a reconditioned used drive and had gone bad. They then gave me a total cost of replacing the drive with a new one, plus transferring the data.
I gave the go ahead, and the computer was ready to go the next day. They also pointed out on the old drive where it clearly stated that it had been reconditioned and the date that was done.
While I was rather displeased with Staples, they did refund all of my wife's money and rather apologetically noted that putting used hard drives in customers' computers without advising them was a standard practive .
As for pricing, I don't know what standard pricing for replacing a hard drive and transfering data would be, so I can't comment on that. But ACS charge was less than what Staples charged.
