I called Ben like a week ago and he scheduled to look at my roof today. So he tells me he will check my roof and see the damage. About 30 mins later he rings the doorbell and says he was done. So I asked him if he fixed the damage. He said yes as he had all the materials in his truck. So I asked him how much I owed him and he says "just your prayers" he also asked if I had a wife when I said yes - he said take her out to dinner on me. We still have hope for this world with folks like Ben around. Thank you so much Ben!

Ben was great! He worked with the insurance company and all went well.

no the work was never done because he did not show up, this company is a one man show after we agreed about everything the time of delivery no one showed up I called after that I called the contractor he never picked up his phone never responded to my emails nor my text messages he wasted 3 weeks of my time it was a very weird experience don't use this company if you don't want to waist your time

I got a recommendation from a neighbor to use Ben. He's very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. As I was walking my dog through the neighborhood and talked with others that used Nova contracting, they all had great things to say about nova contracting and Ben. They replaced our roof, cleaned up everything really well, and did an excellent job. I've recommended Ben to several other neighbors and they've also been very pleased with nova contracting.

Generally it went well. The re-roof itself went great. Some very nice enhancements and upgrades were offered at no additional charge along with good pricing on upgrades I did elect to pay for. However, when two of the upgrades were not installed and I inquired, it was difficult to get a response from the company, and I was left with the impression that someone hoped I wouldn't notice or call out the discrepancy. The omissions were replacements of window screens that had been damaged by hail, and the use of a comb-straightening kit on an outside A/C condenser's vanes that had hail damage. I had already been billed for the work and the only way it was finally accomplished was when I alerted the company that their quality control inspections were lacking.

I was 100% satisfied with the job done before ,so I hired the same contractor ( Nova Contracting LLC , Eng. Ben AlSammon ) again for the huge job " complete change of roofing & siding " for my other home " 13306 Nottingdale Dr. Dale City, Va 22193". Very professional crew for each job (siding & roofing ) clean , honest & friendly. They used extra materials & extra job FREE of charge just to make there job perfect . I must hire them again when needed & refer to my friends and relative.

Eng. Ben inspected my roof for free, found the damages ,worked with my home insurance inspector, did all needed paperwork. Eng. Ben is a nice guy with a lot of patience. He explained everything about the job,the color, the material to me & my wife & we agreed on everything. Later on we checked on the internet , walked on the streets ,saw different colors ,materials & kept changing our mind so many times and every time he said " yes Sir I will do it Sir" never said No. He has so many professional teams for example : for Siding ,Roofing ,electricians and so on. They are clean , trustworthy honest & professional. I must hire them again when needed and refer them to my friends & relatives.

I contacted this company to look at my roof regarding hail damage after my insurance company denied my claim. My goal is to get a second opinion and to decide whether it is worthwhile to ask for a re-inspection as all houses next to mine were approved for replacement roof. The contractor Ben came and took a look and told me that the back slopes of the roof definitely had damage and asked me to file for reinspection and promised that he would be here when the adjuster comes. We did as he recommended and now our insurance company asked for a written estimate from our contractor. I then contacted Ben and he told me no problem he would do so and all I needed to do was to text him our address and my email address so he can send the estimate to me. I did that and it was the last time we heard from Ben. The text, follow up email and phone calls were not answered. It makes me wonder why he would avoid returning to us. If we truly had roof damage why would it be so hard for him to put the damage on paper. The minimum, from an honest business' perspective, is perhaps to return my call and tell me the truth, either he was too busy, no longer interested, or we had little damage and therefore won't be worth his time to write an estimate. To flatly refuse to contact us, is very unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants an honest and straightforward service.

In the end very well. I'm pleased with the results, but not with the effort it took to get there or the possibly shady business dealings. I questioned my Realtor's thoughts to share the detailed insurance estimate with Ben at Nova Contracting LLC, but did on her advice. Ben said he'd do all of the work in the estimate, knowing what they'd "approved," and he was very gracious in offering small discounts and freebies. However, when the job was done, after a month I had to contact Ben to ask where my invoice was so I could pay the bill. I didn't like that my mortgage company and bank had mentioned the possibility of a mechanic's lien on my property if the insurance proceeds weren't used to pay the contractor. Ben's position was that all of the insurance money should come to him, and he referred to a conversation we had in my front yard. I asked for and received the invoice, and on going through it found that two repair items weren't completed, but invoiced for. One was cleaning and straightening (combing) the fins on my A/C unit outside, and the other was replacing the four window screens both Ben and my insurance adjuster had apparently identified as needing replacement. I COULD NOT find the screens they saw as damaged. In a series of e-mails between Ben and I, he said in both instances that he'd forgotten to do the work. I'm fairly sure he didn't mean personally, but that his crew didn't. He apologized profusely, but I found the whole scenario very suspect. When I eventually got his invoice, it was as detailed as ever. And he's an Engineer running a business, not someone who isn't used to attention to detail. It was either very convenient forgetfulness or outright mismanagement. After the issue broke, I found that someone had come onto my property without my knowledge and "quickly and quietly took care" of the A/C compressor. Ben said something to me after the fact. Luckily I'd taken pictures earlier in the day without repairs completed. When he asked me to replace the screens, I declined and asked him to just send me a corrected invoice that included only work accomplished. Bottom line: When dealing with this company, pay attention to every detail. Make sure what you're being billed for you've actually gotten--and do insist on an invoice. Even though this is a small business and they DO provide very gracious extras and freebies, they have an obligation to be 110% accurate and forthcoming in their billing. Otherwise it seems fraudulent and shady.

Provide was prompt, clean up up after they were done very well. Worked very well with our home owners insurance provider.

overall went well. Would use again for roofing issues if ever needed. Had a few issues with gutter guards that were previously on the old roof but needed to stay in place; some damage was done when removal of old roof and now have a problem with water/rain run off not going into the gutter guard area; so adjustments need to be made and Ben is working on those as of this writing. No issues too large to resolved ; highly recommend; very responsive; very professional; nice demeanor; workers were really hard working and knew their stuff which is a plus. Not a bad process for such a large job. most neighbors on my street used this same contractor from the same hail and storm damage from the awful storms that did considerable roof damage to most of the homes on street. Ben provided the information on how to register our Warranted product with the roofing (CertainTeed Shingle/Roofing) product and paperwork came within the week after registering product. Left card when he came to do additional repairs and work with us to resolve gutter problems.
Very knowledgeable folks overall! Local too- that is most definitely a plus as well.
