HomeMasons, Inc. has two divisions - a design/build remodeling division and a full-service handyman division. At present, we have six employees. On most handyman jobs, we self-perform the work. On remodeling jobs, we utilize subcontractors for specialty areas such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC but we self-perform most of the rest of the work. We have been in business since 1993, are fully insured and licensed as a Class A contractor (#2705 020224A)in the State of Virginia. Handyman jobs are based on time and materials. This means that you are charged hourly at a rate of $75/hr. and we mark up materials 35%. Remodeling jobs are typically a lump sum amount which would involve a contract for a set sum of money for specified work.We are a founding member of NARI (National Assoc. of the Remodeling Industry). We are listed in Remodeling Magazine's Big 50 Remodelers and we are listed annually in the Qualified Remodeler Magazine's Top 500. Both of these are nationally recognized industry magazines. HomeMasons offers an innovative building process which is tailored to the client’s desire to avoid the pitfalls and disappointments often inherent in the “conventional” design-and-bid construction process. Our design services are professional and comprehensive. Extraordinary solutions are considered which produce fine architecture and excellence of craft – while balancing considerations of constructability and cost versus value. With this turn-key approach, the owner is able to control financial exposure by being updated on the construction budget at every point during design development.
