Quality built fence co

I have mixed feelings about this company. It is a very small, family company who seems to do a lot of work installing wood fences for larger properties. I do not think I would hire them for a residential fence, though. I will say they are VERY nice people, but that’s about it. They are nearly impossible to get ahold of and do not respond to any method of communication - phone or email. This was probably the most frustrating thing about them. But they are very quick once they get started with work. The fence seems to be in good shape and looks nice from far away, but all of the surfaces are very rough and appear to have no post processing after being put through a saw mill. When the tops of the posts were cut off, they left many sharp and long, jagged edges that we had to file down ourselves. They also left a ton of dirt all around where they dug posts. I realize soil settles, but this seemed to be excessive. Honestly, I’d rather them take a little extra time to make the fence look better and safer. Like I said, this may be fine for a farm but for residential, maybe not. Back to the boards. Many of the small boards used on the outside of the posts were knotty, cracked, or had shards taken out of them. They were nice enough to come replace the smaller ones (after two emails asking) but left the horizontal boards I had marked that were either riddled with knots, rotting, and/or had huge chunks out of them. I asked them if they would come back out in case the markers fell off, but they ignored that email as well. Overall, I’m glad I have my fence, but might have gone with a different company to avoid frustration.
