The job was completed thoroughly and the results were what I desired.

Excellent work--no issues. In order to keep prices reasonable this company operates with low overhead. This sometimes makes scheduling work somewhat challenging, but the owner will respond within 2 or 3 days if a non-emergency. For emergencies they respond immediately.

Excellent work at a terrific price. Owing to liability issues, our pool contractor required electric work to be outside the scope of his contract. Madison plumbing and electric completed the job in a timely manner, and well below our anticipated budget. When we had a callback due to lightning damage, response was very prompt.

It didn't go at all.  If they don't want new business, then don't put yourself out there as someone who performs a service.  I look for good reviews on Angie's List before I even call anyone.  I'm glad these people do good work...but I will never know.

The manufacturer of our hot water heater was no longer in business. We were looking at having to replace the entire tank, but the plumber was able to find a part in their inventory, and replace the faulty element.

Madison plumbing and electric is terrific. Always do outstanding work at a very fair price. They can handle relatively straightforward or complex plumbing or electric jobs. In emergencies they respond right away, as was the case when they repaired a well pump cable. For non emergencies it can take a few days to get a return call, but they always respond. I highly recommend Madison Plumbing and Electric.  One advantage is that most of their crew live in Madison, so there is a real sense of community in taking care of residents of the county. 
They have done the following work for us: 

1. -- Re-plumbed entire house after original Quest pipe failed. 
2. -- Installed pool electric system
3. -- repaired well pump cable
4. -- replaced kitchen sink
5. -- installed light sensors for outside lights
6. -- replaced electric hot water heater

They did a wonderfull job with the installation and even managed to poke a hole through the brick fireplace for the gas line. BUT, they evidently did not pull a permit for this and now it is coming back to bite me - I cannot get my gas tank hooked up because there was no permit and/or inspection for the work they did. I have every faith the work is top quality, but that doesn't do me any good without the proper paperwork.
Very frustrating. And now, I cannot seem to get them to answer the phone so we can work it out. I am likely going to have to take time from work to go sit on their doorstep and wait for someone to show up so I can get this resolved.
As I said, they do good work, but having to call them and leave endless messages, will likely make me go else where for this type of service.

Most recently Madison Plumbing and Electric replaced a part in one of my hear pumps that was covered under warranty.  It was just before Christmas, but they made sure everything was in working order before the holidays and before company arrived!

I have used Madison Plumbing several times over the years, and have always been satisfied with their response and work. In this latest visit, they found a supply line that had rusted through, and replaced it.
We have been in this house for about 14 years, and about two years ago, a problem developed in the foyer bathroom where air was coming up through the toilet when water was run in the kitchen. At the same time, this toilet would not flush. After several attempts, it was discovered the problem would clear itself if the kitchen sink was filled, then drained. At the same time, the toilet would be flushed, and the problem was 'fixed'. This has actually been looked at twice by Madison Plumbing, but no real answer has been found as to why this started after so many years.
It became routine to fill up the kitchen sink with hot water every couple of weeks, then release the water. This seemed to alleviate the problem, until now. I am trying to decide if a new set of eyes is needed, or to call Madison Plumbing back.

We had intended to do the work ourselves , but it was more involved than we expected. We contacted Madison plumbing, they installed the equipment quickly and everything worked out great. They were prompt and professional. Excellent job.

The gas line was already installed. The only work necessary was to hook up the new stove as Lowe's does not do that for gas stoves. They hooked it up and made sure there were no leaks.

They were wonderful and I was very happy with their service. I have and would recommend their service to others. I would use them again in the future.

Very well. They are pretty busy and have the best reputation in Madison County. They fixed most of the the pipes and had to saw through some subfloors and drywall to get to some of the leaks. They worked quickly although they did have to return once to complete the job. This was fine because at that point I just needed to get the house operable. The price was pretty good considering the number of repairs they had to do.
