When Clint Nicholson came to my door, I really did not want to speak with him. I actually refused to shake his hand when he tried to introduce himself! But he was patient and respectful (since I had a no solicitation sign at my front door), and said he was an arborist and simply wanted to show me a little trimming that would help increase the life and health of my trees. I was interested in getting a price on a dead tree in my back yard, so I walked the yard with him. We had a detailed discussion of what trimming he thought was necessary and why it was necessary. I love people who teach me and answer my questions, so I greatly appreciated this facet of the experience. After negotiating a price we both felt was fair, they provided me with a written contract of the work to be done, stating that the fee would be paid after all work was completed. Clint Nicholson and James Pullen then began their work. Whenever there was an issue of how best to cut a tree, they consulted me with their preferences and we decided together. Please note, I generally agreed with their recommendations. They took every precaution to be safe, and even chose to return the next day to cut off a limb for which they did not have a high enough ladder. They put the remnants on the driveway so as not to injure our lawn (my husband loves his lawn, so this was also greatly appreciated). Unfortunately, I had to drive to pick someone up, so when I asked them to move the branches so I could pull out my car, they were more than happy to comply. They cleaned up the area, and did not complain when they had to wait for me to return to pay them. They are very patient people. Clint and James returned the next day with their larger ladder to finish the job. My husband liked their work so much, he agreed to have them cut down another tree in the yard (another $500 job). They also provide 24 hour emergency care.
Description of Work: Trees were trimmed, brush was hauled away for the first job. For the second job, a tree was cut down, debris hauled away and the stump cut low to the ground and treated with root rot.
