He was suppose to start in march but didnt get started until late into April. The project was expected to take 2-3 weeks and it ended up 6 or 7 weeks. At the beginning of the project after all the delays we had no problems, he tore out the old porch and built a new frame. Once he started the actual building the project came to a crawl. We never knew if he was going to be there. Now as the "finished project" we have uneven boards, boards that do not have enough screws to be stable, the 45 degree angle where the boards are suppose to meet are all cut incorrectly and have gaps between boards. Once the job was "completed" he took his check and left. I've been trying to contact him for 7 weeks. I was able to get ahold of him once and he said he would take care of it. After time had passed and he hadnt fixed the problem I threatened to go to court and he immediately came out and took out one screw but did not fix the board that was now without a screw. He said nothing to my wife who was home and drove away.
