They didn't do a good job, so the doorways are very bumpy. It even comes off when shoveling. I specifically asked them if I would face this problem, and they said no. I'll have to do it again myself. I also had them perform a repaving job. They applied the asphalt too high where I asked them to keep it low, and not enough asphalt where I asked them to put down more. The high areas caused water to move towards my foundation. They did eventually return with a blowtorch. It turns out Young subcontracted without telling me.

All interactions were the epitome of professionalism: calls returned promptly, accurate estimate, showed up when they said they would, all personnel very polite/diligent, and work was done perfectly! Price only slightly higher than other estimates, and WELL WORTH it. Can't say enough good things about this contractor!

Workers were timely and professional. The job done neat and looked beautiful. Mr. Young could have easily convinced us to spend more on a complete re-paving but instead encouraged an easier, less costly approach first and it saved us a lot. The outcome was beautiful and still is months later.

FINALLY……Someone in the driveway sealing business that does things the right way. Steve Young is an ethical businessman. He returns your phone call and prepares a professional printed estimate of what he proposes to do. In my case, he emailed the estimate to me in a pdf file. On it was a Google aerial view of my house that verified he had indeed estimated my driveway and not someone else’s. The exact materials he was going to use were listed, and an accurate description of how the work was going to be performed was there. Finally, based on what needed to be done, he gave a fair price for the work. He contacted us the day before so the cars could be moved, and the work was completed when and how he said it would be. The quality was the best I’ve ever seen for driveway sealing, and this is the third time I’ve had it done over the years - - but the first time it’s been done the right way. Don’t fall for the guy that knocks on the door and says, “I’m doing work in the neighborhood and will have enough materials left over to do your driveway at a good price.” The tar gypsies are everywhere during the summer months roaming the streets. Lock your door if you are even tempted to fall for a low ball “it’s now or never” price. You’ll definitely get what you pay for and be sorry for it. Have Steve do it right and it should hold up for a long time. Steve Young has an outstanding reputation in the Lynchburg area, and he lives up to it. I feel totally confident giving him the highest possible recommendation. He IS the one bright star in a profession that has its share of crooks waiting to take advantage of you.

My driveway had not been seal coated for 5 years and was desperate for help. I called Young's and was surprised to have someone actually answer the phone! (first positive). Received a call back from Steve and he was able to see and describe my driveway using satellite maps. We agreed to meet in person for an estimate and he was right on time! I received a call the night before the work was done, reminding me of moving cars and what to expect (driveway to be ribboned off). The work was excellent. I have had neighbors stop by to ask me about the provider.
