Rock Solid Construction created a beautiful extension to my front porch with attributes of brick face and a green stone/mortar surface that blended well with the existing surface. Their professionalism and dedication to high quality product and customer service and satisfaction were clearly their highest priorities. The job included installing a wood deck railing and completing the job with acid wash of the stone surface on a Saturday. Upon my request, they willingly extended the brick face project and completed to my satisfaction. I so much appreciated the quality and service that I contracted a concrete driveway and sidewalk with Rock Solid Construction, as well.

They do AWESOME work, very reliable. If they have any drawbacks, it is that they stay so busy, but they always try to accommodate as quickly as possible weather permitting.

These guys are a great group of guys to work with. They were very prompt and respectful of your time and there work is spot on. They remodeled our kitchen (minus cabinetry) and finished our basement.

I was told by Roger, the owner, that he would come between 4:30 and 5:00 pm on Thursday the 20th. He showed up about an hour earlier than he was supposed to without even bothering to call and check if that was ok. He looked at the job and wasn't able to answer all of my questions clearly. In fact when I asked about the need to shore up in the crawl space to make up for the increased weight I got a question in response quizzing me on how heavy a refrigerator is and that it doesn't need extra support because the brick and stone would certainly be no heavier than the average refrigerator. Somehow I seriously doubt that. Never mind that earlier we had looked at the and quot;stoneand quot; front that is in place now and there was question on his part as to whether it was real or hollow. When I asked about the weight issue he contradicted himself by assuring me that what was already in place was real stone. I know that the firebox isn't real. It is plain to see. It is a thin pre-fab unit with sheet metal behind it. I don't appreciate someone getting cute with me by asking me a question in response to a question. He also indicated that he is a and quot;scavengerand quot; and prefers to reuse items. Not what I expect someone being asked to pay $5000 out to be pleased to hear from a supposed professional. I asked about the safety and workmanship of the metal pipe installation that goes through the attic and he wasn't able to look because he didn't even have a ladder with him. How is he supposed to evaluate a fireplace job with roof considerations without one? Suffice it to say he simply BS'd by stating that surely it couldn't have been built without meeting code, completely ignoring the fact that I informed him that the company that built this home had done all sorts of things that weren't up to code and I knew for a fact that the inspector never looked in that space. I was not impressed but we continued to speak on a friendly basis including small talk on other subjects. The upshot was that he would have to think about it and get back to me. Today, somewhere after 1 pm, he TEXTED me stating that after he and quot;thought and prayed about your project, rebuilding your fireplace in your home...I don't think it is a project that I want to get involved with. I'm Sorryand quot;. I responded the gist that texting me was not only impersonal but unprofessional and that perhaps he should pray on that. I would no more have someone like this, who hedged around things, avoided questions he obviously didn't have the knowledge for and was unprofessional as he was, work on ANYTHING (including the walkway job he tried to procure while he was here), than I would fly to the moon. Additionally, I found his estimated price that was discussed the day he was here to be totally outrageous, especially considering that he was planning to use the existing chimney pipe and not shore it up underneath the house. All this would have involved was pulling of the front facing and building a new and bigger firebox by hand and putting up a decorative stone front. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Well, maybe my worst, but even that might be considered pushing it.

Rock Solid Construction is the first place I dealt with for tiling. The guy who came out took the time to show me what the problem was with the floor. I was happy with their services.
