Alec and Brett did an excellent job. They installed an air handler and ducts in the attic and cut registers and air returns into the plastered ceilings; no cracks, no mess. They installed the indoor units on outside (or close to outside) walls with tubing to the outside; again, with little impact to the house.
Shortly after the installation was complete, we discovered that one of the downstairs indoor units had malfunctioned. Maddox immediately sent Stephen to troubleshoot. He found that there was a mix-up in some of the wiring to an outside unit and had it corrected by the end of the day.
All of the technicians were knowledgeable, professional, and very patient, important since the concept and working of the mini split system was new to us.
We will continue to use Maddox for HVAC and electrical work. We were very impressed with their service.

I was having some issues with the thermostat, apparently it was user error   ;-\
I bought this system from Maddox 2 years ago and they gave me a great deal on this upper-end system. They offer 2 tune-up visits per year for $158 but you can get a 10% Angie's List discount which I did when I scheduled the appointment yesterday afternoon. The visit today included a thorough check of the system including freon, pressures, cleaned condensation drain and sump pump, cleaned coils, etc. etc. He also fixed the setting on the thermostat.  Stephen was here maybe 2 hours, he heard something in my ducts that I never heard and went in after it. It was a piece of duct tape previously used to guide some low voltage wiring, the tape came loose over the years and was flapping some. The point is that it was not a problem to me but it was a problem to him. I am grateful that Stephen is that meticulous about what he does, very similar to the crew that installed a couple years ago. 
Stephen also put on the paper booties over his shoes to protect our floors, nice extra touch.
Very pleased!

Maddox has serviced our old heat pumps for years and stretched them as far as they could go. Integrity is very high.

,About 50/50. We just purchased a house in Nov '13 Needed both units serviced. The tech that came out to service the oil furnace was a great tech.  He spent more than 2+ hours on cleaning out the unit since it appeared it had not been done for years.  The problems came when I had to get the outdoor AC unit serviced.  The tech spent about 10 minutes on it and then told me that it was a dead compressor.  When I asked how much it would be to replace the compressor he said it was about $2,000+, OR I could replace everything for about $4,000.  To me that just screams bait and switch.  I don't care what the age of it is we didn't have 4000. That is all the pushed, and when pushed back about replacement it was met with stone walls.  Also another note they were in complete disbelief that I was able to run an oil furnace the past winter with only using 250 gallons of oil, they swore up and down that was not correct.  Long story short I will not be using the company to do work for me again.

Maddox Air was very professional on installing two Mitsubishi split air systems, one downstairs and one up. I had contacted two other well known AC companies and to me it seemed that Maddox was more understanding and knowledgeable of these type systems. They did an outstanding job of installing them, very clean and puncial, and made sure the outside lines down the house were covered in aluminan siding to match my trim on the house. They also recommended that I have the outside compressors mounted up on the exterior wall instead of the ground, which proved to be a wise decision. I did have a problem with the upstairs water pump inside the unit after a few months. I called Maddox and they sent a tech right out. They installed a different type of pump and checked my unit downstairs also. No charge for that. I am very glad to have chosen Maddox over the others, especially since my highest AC bill last summer was about $80.00. I would have never got that savings with a heat pump/ AC system which was highly suggested by the other AC companies.

Originally hired a different company to install a new programmable thermostat.  It didn't go well; it took over 4 hours and it wasn't completed to our satisfaction.  We just purchased this property and wanted the units checked and there was an error code on the new thermostat.  Obviously we weren't going to use the previous company that took over 4 hours, and charged us $75/hour to try to connect a new thermostat.  We chose Maddox because of the reviews on Angie's list.  We couldn't be more pleased with their service.  Our technician was Keith and I'll request him every time now.  He was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough.  We would definitely recommend Maddox.  Wish we would've called them first!

We had to have work done in our kitchen before back splash was installed. We found Maddox electrical and explained we wanted to add electrical sockets before the back splash was installed and we only had one day. They arrived at the appointed time accessed the situation and pulled two electricians that afternoon to complete the job. They installed a ceiling fan and added three new electrical sockets. They were very professional and cleaned up the job site once the job was completed. i would highly reccommend Maddox electrical and will use them again in the future!

The sales person was extremely good during this entire situation. When the installation crew came out, the work was very sloppy and of poor quality. They were in a hurry and it showed. They had to send a service tech out the following Monday to fix a problem with the unit right out of the box that the installation crew had no idea how to fix. The salesman had to come back out and then the installation crew had to return yet again. For all of this trouble, they only discounted out bill $175. We were extremely disappointed because we had heard only good things about this company. Very Disappointed!

We met at our new property which has two houses, two out buildings, and a pool.  We wanted an idea of what the electrician found and needed suggestions of what to do with the electrical on the property.  It was suggested that when we do have the electricity turned on, call the electrician back and he will return and we can then find out which wires are live and which are not.  One panel box he recommended that we cover the back of the box.  He walked the property with us and checked out every place where there were power panels.

They're pleasant people, they took their time and went out of their way to clean the outside units so I'm very happy with them. I had an overall pleasant experience.

Maddox is a American Standard dealer. I had first called Goin Heating and A/C, who disgnosed the problem. When Goin was apparently too busy to handle this, maddox came out the next morning and installed the bad parts with no problem. I was impressed with the expertise shown (granted that I do not know much about a/c), and the equipment that the technician used. He took his time before doing anything, did not get excited over anything, cleaned up well, offered to put on "booties" before going in the house, let mne watch and ask questions-the knid of service that I appreciate. I suppose that I am quibbling about the price: Goin asked for 850.00.

The installation people came on time and started to work immediately. They took precautions to prevent dirt from being tracked in the house, and wore booties on their shoes. They were very professional and took great pains  to insure a proper installation. They were finished in a timely manner and everything checked out. My wife and I were amazed at the quietness of the unit and still have a hard time realizing it is on. In fact the only way to tell is,  the temperature remains as we set it and does n't vary more than one and a half degrees.To say that we are pleased is an understatement. We could;t be more pleased with our choice or the installation. We highly recommend this company  and the American Standard brand.
