no professionalism..cigarette butts left on property, no tarps put on new floor when requested by me, resulting in globs and specks of drywall mud left to harden on my new floor, and when one was put down, it was filthy. all in all, sloppy, amaturish work, but most of all, the owner of KLM refused to attend to rusting screening that was put up less than six months agoby him in the porch, which is a safety hazard to children and pets, especially. he told me there was "nothing he could do about that."

Came out for an estimate in a timely manner, returned a thorough estimate quickly. His estimate was competitive to other handyman contractor we had gotten estimates from. Everything was done within the time line on the contract (all delay were weather related). I was traveling for several days of work and Tim would email me progress updates. We are very happy with the work that was done on our house.

It went very well. The work was fantastic. They are a father/son team and were here first thing in the morning. They cleaned up everyday. They didn't rush the job. They are very precise in the woodworking and cutting. They cut the whole wall to expand my closet. They matched all the molding. The price was reasonable. When I called them they would call me back that day.

I contacted KLM Builders and Timothy came to my home a day or so later.  I explained how I needed stairs off of my present deck and also a wrap-a-round deck on the side of my home to help accommadate my grill.  He gave me his ideas on the project and I went with it. My deck turned out beautiful, very well crafted and the traffic flow of the deck now works.  KLM Builders built my stairs wide enough that I can easily walk up them with a bag of groceries in both of my hands. Also at the bottom step they installed a nice size concrete slab.  They also moved an outdoor plug up to the top of the deck for me.  And, I had a very old stairway that came off my kitchen door, made of cement block and concrete.  KLM builders removed all of it and replaced the rotting wood at the bottom of my kitchen door.  Timothy will do everything to make sure the job is done right.  You can not go wrong with him because he loves what he does, working with wood and designing.  He is precise and does not rush a job.  I will be using him again for my future closet in my home.  Thanks KLM!

KLM Builders was to start rebuilding our deck on June 10th, but due to much rain they could not get started until June 20th. They completed the job on June 26th, 13.

KLM Builders provided an exceptional product at a reasonable price. Tim Maddox came to my home promptly when called, we discussed exactly what I wanted to have done and he returned in a couple of days with a professional and thorough estimate. Upon agreement, he started the work on schedule and provided a fine quality finished project. He converted an exisiting deck with some structural flaws to a sturdy, impressive screened porch. An area in my basement with exisiting rough-ins was finished to create a large full bath and an additional bedroom. A skylight was added to an office on my second floor and tubular skylights were installed in my great room. Tim oversaw sub-contractors who did the actual plumbing, wiring and roofing and ensured that I was satisfied with their work. All work accomplished by KLM Builders was top notch and completed in a reasonable amount of time. Their attention to detail and willingness to work with me to change and or add to the project as it went along was appreciated. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing work done around their home.

In the past, the transition from the driveway to the patio involved walking in grass, mud and snow and was very unsafe and unsightly. KLM installed the stairs and did all the extra work we asked for with the most incredible professionalism.
Now we have an awesome staircase with a concrete pad that connects the stairs to the patio. It not only looks awesome we cannot believe the quality of this staircase done with treated wood in a series of 9 platforms linked together to provide extended depth of the steps. We also have a hand rail mounted on the concrete wall down the side of the house. In addition we asked them to put in buried electrical conduit and a water pipe to transition the gutter water from the front and lower patios to the lawn below all under ground. We were amazed at their ability to make this all happen and look like a job that cost twice as much (we had bids for over $3600 for this job).
We are thrilled with Tim the owner and his son who worked their tails off to make this happen in a few days for a fair price and a positive and helpful approach. We whole heartedly recommend them for this type of work. We like them so much we are planning to have help us build a bedroom in our basement.

KLM was professional, courteous, provided excellent craftsmanship and kept the job site clean and organized. Mr. Maddox really listened to what we wanted as a final product, made suggestions, provided a drawing and a detailed contract of the labor, materials, pricing. We had everything we needed to made a decision. Mr. Maddox provided a replacement deck with a beautiful staircase exactly how we had imagined. KLM did everything right for there were no complaints, issues or problems. There were no changes to the contract price. We can't tell you how thankful and appreciative we were to work with a contractor that knew his business, provided excellent quality and kept to his word!!! We will definitely use KLM Builders for all our future needs. As a matter of fact, we're planning another job for this summer! We can also say our neighbors were impressed with KLM!

OUTSTANDING!!! I called Tim a couple of weeks ago and asked him to stop by and provide an estimate to build a custom set of stairs off the deck to a new stone patio and to repair the deck where a hot tub was removed. He provided the estimate within 24 hours. The estimate was very fair and reasonable. He commenced the work within a few days thereafter, completing the work within 3 days -- on time and on budget, and with the highest degree of professional craftmanship and materials. Of course, he ensured the work area was clean up beautifly upon completion of the job. Very, very well done!!! I strongly recommend him to anyone needing his services.

This company did an excellent job. They came every day and worked very hard. The price was great for all the work they did. The roofing was done very well. Everything done as on the work order I signed. They broke a glass table while working on the roof, but offered to take the price for a new one off the bill. I did call them about 1 year later to put in a low deck for a hot tub, but he never showed up.???
