There had to be several work arounds to get the new door in and since the house was done properly, the is hard to close and dead bolt. There is also a problem with the finish molding because the new door they ordered and measured was smaller width wise than it needed to be. Thus I had to do some work myself to build up the sheetrock so the installer would have an easier time. Still waiting for the installer to do the the finishing of the frame as well as install the screens and finish caulking the external door. Once this is finished, I will Never use this store again.

The original install (2 months ago) was a bit scattershot in terms of the scheduling of the various sub-contractors. I had a kitchen in chaos during the holidays, which was decidedly not fun. But the final product was lovely and worth waiting for. The only issue I had was the hinges--which had brackets that extended into the sides of the cabinet space, limiting storage on the sides of my shelving. Not knowing better, I assumed that was how they were supposed to be. About two months later, one of my cabinet doors came unhinged at the bottom, and Andrew Stoll came out to repair.  When I asked about the design of the hinges, he immediately told me that the wrong kind had been installed. He contacted his office and had us put on the schedule for removal of the wrong hinges and installation of the correct kind. He and an associate came back and spent almost two hours getting the job done. Keep in mind that this was a "freebie." Also keep in mind that Andrew freely admitted a mistake that I would never have known--and one which would cost him time and money. That is true honesty and professionalism. Job well done!

It was fine.

Although I experienced considerable mis-communications among the various levels at Home Depot during the ordering phase of my order, the overall quality of the product and its installation was excellent.  Although I was never notified when the ordered door had arrived in order to arrange for installation, once that was confirmed scheduling installation was acceptable and the installers arrived at the appointed time and did an excellent job of installing the door. 

One minor glitch, however, involved the installation of the door hardware as related to the key to the deadbolt lock.  The type I selected had a separate key for re-keying the lock which was never explained to me.  I subsequently used this key which in turn rendered the other original keys useless.  The Home Depot employee in the door hardware section, however, was very helpful and provided a replacement deadbolt and re-keyed it for me.  Very responsive!
