I tried calling these folks for two weeks straight and left an Angie’s List message for them to get back to me and never could get a hold of them which is very unprofessional, even for a small business. They have great ratings and probably do really good work but none of that matters if you can’t reach them.

Victor was a pleasure to work with. He responded to my inquiry quickly and explained all my options. Our deck is pretty old and was on its last legs. It is structurally sound but the boards were cracked and a few dry rotted. Deco pro used a deck over stain. They came and performed the work on schedule and early than he said he would be able to, which was great! They put down two coats and when it dries it looked kind of splotchy in one spot. Victor called me to ask how it looked the evening they had finished. I explained about the color and he came the next morning and put down another coat. The deck looks fantastic and that is saying something compared to what it looked like. I did not do comparisons on prices but I thought his price was very fair and definitely worth the service he provided.

Victor and his crew are extremely professional and do quality work.  We have a very large deck that badly needed refinishing.  Victor came out and gave us an estimate and then sat down and explained all the options we had.  He also went into the pros and cons of each refinishing method.  Due to the rainy weather he was not able to start on the day we had set up.  That was ok with us because we were not in a hurry and wanted it done correctly.
Once started the job was finished in about three days.  Victor had to do more sanding then originally anticipated but he stuck by his estimate for the end cost. The results were extremely good and we are very pleased with his work.  I would certainly recommend Victor and Deck Pro.

Our deck had been neglected for years, but Victor was still able to get it looking beautiful - the work exceeded my expectations. Victor is courteous and professional, and the work was done ahead of schedule. He helped me pick out a great color which blends nicely with the house and covers up some stains in the wood that wouldn't come out. I would definitely use Deck Pro again.

The owner was very professional and personal. There were some missed places on railings and sides, but as soon as I contacted the owner, he promptly came out and remedied the problem. So far, we have been very pleased with the work that was done.

The work was well done, and timely, and Mr. Mertz is a pleasant fellow to deal with.

The owner Victor is very professional. I requested a quote through his website. For some reason, I didn't received his email. Then I called him, and he came in after 45 minutes. He measured the deck and gave me a quote. The price is the only item I did not give an A because this was the only provider I called, so I did not have comparison. He also left his color cards for me to choose the color.
He came on a Wednesday to pressure wash my deck. He also did extra work to clean a smaller part of the brick wall to remove the mold. His helper came on Thursday to sand the deck. On Saturday, Victor and four guys applied the first coat in the morning, and finished second coat in the afternoon. He called me everytime before their guy came to let me know what they would do. They came on time, finished the job well. I would recommend Deckpro!

Victor came out to look at the deck and showed me options for the color of the stain and gave me a quote right on the spot. He was knowledgeable and professional. His crew arrived on time on the scheduled day and moved everything off the deck before starting their work. Although it took slightly longer than expected, they did a very thorough and clean job of staining the deck. Victor called after a few days to see if I was happy with the work and offered to fix any missed spots if I were to find any. I am very happy with the service and will use them again the next time.

Basically we called them, they came out and gave an estimate, we agreed to the price. We set up a date for them to do the work and they were punctual and came at the time agreed upon.
After the stain dried, I noticed a couple of places they missed and when I called to let them know they arranged a good time for us and fixed the couple spots they missed.

We contacted Victor by telephone. Very nice fellow who got our information and telephone number. He was in the middle of a job and asked if he could call us back to set an appointment to come by and take a look at the job for an estimate. He called us back when he said he would and showed up on time for his appointment. We explained what had been done to the deck prior to our purchasing the home and since. He provided us a written proposal on site. We asked him when he would be able to start. He indicated that he was finishing up a job and gave us a date. He called a day earlier than planned, indicating the other job finished and he would like to get started before the heat wave (being called for in our area) moved in. He and his crew showed up very early in the morning to begin work. The deck and steps were power washed; the porch floor, support posts and ceiling were power washed. The deck had to be handscraped. This was an arduous process. There were no shortcuts taken during this entire process.
Painting began immediately after scraping. Victor and his crew were very careful to tarp everything. We have a criss-cross lattice on the rear porch (to keep the grandkids and animals from falling 2 stories). This was a pain to remove and reattach. The first coat looked wonderful. Victor and crew came back and put a second coat on due to the previous colored stain that had been put on the deck. We did make them quit early 2 days due to the heat index (being over 104F). But they were back the next morning, bright and early, working hard to get everything done on time.
They actually finished the job early and went above and beyond our expectations!! We will definitely call them back when the deck needs repainting in a couple of years. The completed job was very professional and looks wonderful.

I spoke with several different contractors about doing this job for me. Victor with Deck Pro promptly answered any questions I had. His estimate included two coats of stain and included the cost of the stain. One of the other contractors was higher and was only going to apply one coat and I had to buy the stain.
The first day of the job, Victor arrived with his son and another young man. They took great care to keep the stain off of my house and sidewalk. I was amazed how fast they worked. They completed 3/4 of the job the first day.
The second day they completed the job and it looked great.
I live a little bit out of the way for Victor, but he was still willing to do the job and I am glad he did.

We recently had our decks stained by Deck-Pro. The team was so professional and timely. They were great at suggesting stains that would look good for our home and showed us different ones on pieces of wood contrasting the deck. They did a fantastic job cleaning the decks and the stain looks perfect. We were shocked at how quickly and efficiently they work. They stained all three of our decks in one afternoon and they look perfect. We will use them next time we need exterior staining. We highly recommend Deck-Pro.

I contacted this company through their website to get an estimate for cleaning and staining our deck. Within a day I had an e-mail response and a phone number for contact. A few days later I called and they were able to come out the same day with an estimate, which I thought was highly reasonable for the service. They very politely answered all my questions and scheduled a time for the work to begin. They promptly arrived on the scheduled day with a professional attitude and work ethic. Very polite, and did just what they had promised with no changes to the estimate. They even made a special trip beforehand to show me a sample of what the deck stain would like like on our wood. I am very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend them to my neighbors and friends.
