TruGreen Lawn Care

I signed up with Trugreen on 06/15/2021 for lawn services which I had to prepay upfront and was never told about the "continuing service." I even clarified with the agent that the service will stop after all services that I prepaid for was completed and he said yes, also have an email from him stating that. I live at a different address and had no idea that Trugreen was still servicing my account without any notifications. The only calls I got from them is for payment collection. This is unfair and deceptive practices and I had to pay over $600 for services I did not want. Trugreen has nothing that is in clear writing about their practices and they should be honest and upfront with consumers.

I've used TruGreen for the last few years and their service isn't always consistent, but if there are any issues they always take care of it and send someone else out to make it better. I really wish they did other landscaping services to keep it all under the same schedule.

I get a really good rate on it, they effectively haven't raised my rate. I've been with them 21 years. Sometimes I've had minor issues, it's worth staying with them.

I had TruGreen Lawn Service for weeds and fertilizer. I came home and discovered that they had aerated and seeded my lawns. The cost for this service was $235. I didn't know they were coming and I didn't want them to aerate and seed my lawn. Apparently, this service is included in the "service agreement" and you have to cancel it every year if you don't want it. And even if you do want this service, seeding lawns in Virginia in August is NOT the optimal time to seed. It won't grow - it's too hot. TruGreen clearly doesn't understand lawns - at least not in Northern Virginia. I called TreGreen and canceled my service but they offered no refund of any kind. Finally, after having TruGreen for 2-1/2 years out lawn is still full of weeds. Lots of crabgrass and other weeds. I will never hire this company again.
