"We truly apologize if you feel this way about the services we provided to you, while we did have some issues with the timing on materials, it is also true we do not have control on when materials are deliver to us, we did explain this in detail to you, and contact our distributor to let them know yours and our frustration, as we knew you wanted the job done as quick as possible. As for the railing on the stairs, I stand on what I told you when we spoke on site, I didn't priced that service as never was on the list, even on the 3 or 4 emails we sent each other prior moving forward with the job. As for your toilet, you reach us out on 09/10/2018, 2 month after the work was done, to let us know your toilet was loose, causing the caulking to get out of place, I immediately respond to you (part of the service we provide, which is communication or as know after sales service), and let you know that we had remove and reset the toilet and use a new wax ring, and if the toilet is moving now (2 month after installation) will be best for you to hire a plumber as you may have an issue with the flange, and the responsible thing to do is recommend you, the person that will do it best, in this case a plumber, and just to be clear I never said "is not our problem" that was your interpretation, which I cannot help, however we did provide a fast and accurate response, suggesting you hire a plumber. Due to water damage, the entire hardwood floor on our middle living area was inspected by Solo flooring who was working together with a general contractor hired by our insurance company. We were impressed how thorough the manager, Dean, from Solo flooring inspected the floor.
We visited the store of Solo flooring to look at the selections approved by the insurance company. The information we received from the owner, Jose Dieguez, and his manager, Dean, on various floor products was educational and most helpful to make a decision. We decided to pay ourselves for an upgrade to a more scratch resistant and satin look floor finish.
The installation was on time as planned. The installation team did an excellent job of removing the old floor; inspecting the subflooring; installing the new floor and completely cleaning after themselves. The process and procedure was done carefully and efficient. The new floor looks absolutely beautiful and blends in nicely with the existing 12 old flooring since we have a very open floorplan. We highly recommend this company and will definitely consider this company for future jobs. They walk their talk!!

The owners are highly knowledgeable and worked with us to
determine the best type of flooring for each project. Each one was very
different, with a different traffic pattern and a different need. They were
able to work within the parameters of our price range while educating about the
options available.
They understood with one project, we were able to install it
ourselves while with another project, we were looking for the full service
option.
Their expertise, positive attitude, ability and desire to work
with us makes them our first choice whenever we are renovating. We cannot say
enough positive things about SOLO Flooring and their staff and recommend them
to anyone in search of quality product and workmanship.

The final install looks okay; however we encountered numerous problems.
1. The carpet tack strips are so far away from the wall that I am fearful my 2.5 year old will cut his foot while playing. Just walking up the steps, one of my toes was pierced on a strip and bled. After speaking with Solo Flooring without receiving an adequate resolution I hammered down the nails myself. I am frustrated that a flooring specialist with 10 years of experience didn?t do a better job with the installation, or even offer any tips to solve the problem.
2. After the completion of the installation, I went downstairs to run on our treadmill and discovered that it was broken in multiple places. I was extremely frustrated because I was home during the entire install and no one had let me know that they needed help moving the treadmill or that they broke it. Instead, I went down to the basement with newly installed carpet and found the broken pieces of the treadmill sitting on top of the new carpet.
I called Dean, the project manager, from Solo Flooring to get an explanation of what happened. He said he wasn?t at the house during the install but would contact the crew. I was then sent pictures via email of my broken treadmill as if to say that it was broken before they moved it. I said that was unacceptable and asked to speak with him directly. The next Monday, Dean came to my house and looked at the broken treadmill and basically said, ?Yup, it?s broken.? He didn?t apologize for the inconvenience or even admit fault. He said he would speak with Jose, the owner of the company, and he would call me back.
Becoming more frustrated, I waited until the next day to hear from Jose. Instead of a phone call to a concerned client, I received an e-mail that said Solo Flooring is not responsible and that I must have broken the treadmill. Jose didn?t even have enough concern to call me directly to discuss the issue.
This is not a company I will do business with again. Their customer service policy is horrible and they do not treat their clients with respect. There are too many carpet companies in the Washington, DC area and I would highly recommend you choose someone else to do business with.
"We apologize you feel this way, this was my response after your meeting with the project manager and crew installers at your place after installation; I did speak with Dean as well as with the carpet crew today after your meeting at your home yesterday, when crew arrived to your place the tread mill was folded and carpet take up was done by you also you had the mitigation company removing a section of the carpet in your lower level, that leaves different personal working around your equipment prior our arrival, our carpet crew only moved it from one side to another to install the carpet, I cannot see how this can break the equipment while been folded as when is folded the equipment is protected, we had also sent you pictures showing pre existing damage to your tread mill, please refer to contract terms of flooring sales and installation section third of the contract you had revised and signed, As for your concern on the tack strips, The PM had also mention the concern you have with me on the carpet installation and I explained to him so he can rely on you that the carpet was installed properly, that the feel of the nails was as the carpet was stretched properly and in thin carpets like the one you had purchased when firmly pressed down you could feel the nails (the position of the tack strips is the correct location), if the PM fail on passing the information to you I do apologize, what your husband did may have flatten the nails and as a result making the carpet to get loose, this may cause your carpet to wrinkle in the future, if you would like we can send the crew back to replace the tack strips that your husband hammer down and re stretch the carpet so it performs correctly for the life of the carpet, Sincerely Jose Solo flooring, Inc."
