I found Ben to be patient and understanding of customers need to maximize utility and lifespan of appliances at prices which justify repair instead of unscheduled replacement upon equipment failure.
Ben's exceedingly polite, courteous, conscientious of privacy concerns and pleasant personality are genuine as observed by tenants and their babysitter at rental property in my possession.
Ben has meticulously and patiently tailored and then re- tailored solutions to meet my persnickety preferences when addressing faulty major appliances and two HVAC systems.
Above all, Ben is very approachable, responsive and detailed when answering questions and authentically interested in ones safety and sound, cost effective and lasting repair solutions.
Indicative of higher than average technician ethical standards:
1) Over last four years, Ben has also advised against repairs of some of appliances.
2) Unlike many technicians who upon learning people on premises are tenants, Ben is respectful, mindful of tenants privacy, does quality work. Unethical technicians, absent of conscious will do a slaphappy, shoddy job and leave a mess for tenants to clean up after their departure under assumption property owner will not scrutinize repair or installation.
In short, Ben takes call, schedules and executes service, ensures major appliance or HVAC is in running order and answers follow-up questions, requests etc. as there are no layers of technicians, call center employees nor trouble ticket numbers to annoy homeowners.
"thank you for your business!!"
"thank you !!"
They don't really do anything. They are not good at all. I got it in case I had a need. I saw it on television so I went and purchased it for future use.
What you need to be done, they don't do it. Right now I am having problems with my gas stove. Another company came and looked at it and said the part that hooks to the stove that hooks to the gas outlet has gone bad. It needs to be tightened or it needs to be changed. That's on the stove and not on the pipe that belongs to the gas company. I called American Residential and they said they don't do that! They don't do nothing! Its a matter of taking an old part off the stove, putting the new one, and reconnecting the gas. They said that's the pipe. And its not the pipe! Its a piece! So I cancelled it today.
I would not select them at all. If you do, read very well. They require that you be a full member for a full year or you have to pay $49,99 to cancel. They are unresponsive and they do not cover nothing that is really needed.
"I think you writing all that about another company. We never went to your house."
Thanks Ben! I will refer you to anyone who asks !
"thank you!!"
I WILL CALL THIS GUY AGAIN BECAUSE:
1) Generally, he has been responsive
2) He appears to be very honest and it not looking to nickel and dime you. For example:
a) The dryer broke again (not his fault) and after hearing the problem told us we needed a new dryer. He did not try to sell us another repair, etc.
b) I asked him about fixing our attic fan, he said he could but told us it would be cheaper for him to by the fan and then have him install it. Most everyone else wanted to buy the fan, too.
The reason he got a be for and quot;Responsivenessand quot; is two-fold:
1) He charges a fee to come out (so does everyone) but he told my wife since we have used him a few times we would get a discount (which we did) and he would send us something (a coupon or maybe a refrigerator magnet) so that we would get that discount each time we use him. We have not gotten that yet. Now, in fairness, I presume he still will give us the discount each time but I would prefer to have something from him like he mentioned.
2) Second, when he had the dryer apart my wife decided to vacuum up all the lint that was on the inside. He offered to do it. It was only after the fact that he mentioned this is usually a service he charges for, but he was not going to in that case. It was not a big deal, just something he needs to be aware of from a customer service perspective.
"1-f3 code in a kenmore wall oven means a bad sensor or a bad cb. 2- i gave you the 2 obtion: replacing both parts or the sensor only. you shoose the cheapest way to fix it(you shose to replace the sensor first. 3-i did get you the controll board. BUt YOU TOLD ME THAt YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY.YOU ASK ME IF I CAN WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE LL HAVE IT. 4- you should thank me that i accept to do the sevice and you ll pay me later on."
"you just looking for a sheap services. you were looking at online prices for part.which you can get for less. we are a sertify tech.we do not get our parts from ebay we get it from the manifucture.we try to give the good service that our custmer deserve."
to fix it, arrived punctually, and instantly knew what the problem was - our ice maker needed to be replaced because some tiny plastic piece had broken. He gave us the option of buying a new piece for $110 or replacing the whole thing for about $150 - this was the equipment price and she showed it to me on the Sears Website. I looked at the part online myself and found it for $60 and asked Ben why there was a difference in price. He told me he couldn't vouch for the quality of products on the internet (fair enough). I asked him if he was installing a Sears ice maker and he said it was not. I never really felt like I knew what I was paying for - why show me the Sears website price if I'm not buying a Sears product? This line of reasoning didn't work, and I paid him the Sears price since I'd agreed to the replacement in the first place.
Maybe I got cheated, and maybe I didn't. The whole thing simply felt off, so I'll look elsewhere the next time I have an appliance repair.
"i did show you the ice maker on sears website( $110).. and the part number.so no surprises or hiden fees. the ice maker that we install is a sears part .it has the same part nunber. we di get our parts from sears.not from ebay like you find it for a $60. thank you any way.we try to be fair with our customer."
"thank you."
Ben was punctual, professional and very pleasant. When he first came to my home, Ben advised of what could be wrong (probably a switch) and the price of the part. Once okay'ed to proceed, he ordered the switch, returned two days later and installed the part.
The cost for the part and labor was reasonable. I would recommend this company without reservations and would use them again, as needed.
"thank you"
"thank you"
"thank you"
"Thank you."
