chimney sweep
 + -1 moreI called this guy for an estimate and he never called me back. I asked for a price on multiple dryer vent cleanings on a schedule to his liking. Never heard from him. If he was not interested a quick call to confirm would be the professional thing to do. I came to Angies List to find a better class of contractor because I have lots of business and get tired of the same old contractor run around. This guy does not deserve to be on this site.

Description of Work: Called the company specifically because our dryer wasn't working well, and the appliance repair person said it was due to a clogged vent. I was very pleased that the company offered gutter cleaning and chimney sweep service as well. Had all 3 services performed. Rodney, the owner came and worked on the fireplace first. He carefully covered our fireplace, cleaned the flue, and made recommendations for repairs on the liner attached to the wood burning stove. Then he moved on to the dryer vent, which had a lot of lint built up and condensation. Finally he cleaned out all the gutters. He was professional, tidy, and friendly. I thought the price was quite reasonable for all that he did. The dryer vent was particularly bad, and he did a lot of"extra" work but didn't charge an additional fee. I would definitely call him again!

chimney sweep
 + -1 morecleaned chimney and I questioned loose cement inside firebox, which he stated would not need to be fixed. He cleaned chimney from top down and discovered cracks on top of chimney which he stated needed to sealed. I ap0proved the sealer, and he painted the sealer on. ( I was concerned that this was an adequate seal; however was given a warranty.) He worked alone, and was very efficient.
Description of Work: cleaned chimney and painted on seler to cover cracks on top. Service completed within 1 hour.

 + -1 moreI called Mr. Barnes with a few days notice because we were moving with very short notice and I asked if he could show up early. He showed up on time and did a great job at a better price than the big chimney sweeping companies. We will definitely be using him again.

 + -1 moreI was pleased with the service provided by A 1 Chimney Sweep. I had a couple rental properties that needed the chimneys cleaned right away. They came out quickly and did the work efficiently. I used them for the initial cleaning and will use them for routine maintenance as needed. They were reasonably priced as well.
