Independent Solar Solutions

I cannot recommend Independent Solar Solutions of Ashburn, Virginia. After 7 months, and many delays and inquiries on my part, the company was still unable to complete my installation per our August 2017 contract. They could not tell me when or if the back up battery included in the contract would be obtained. In March 2018, we mutually agreed to end the contract, with Independent Solar Solutions paying me the difference between what I had already paid and the cost of the partial installation they did. That should have been a fair, although disappointing, end of the business relationship. However, despite many personal emails to me from Independent Solar Solutions’ chief operating officer Michael Geaneas that the check was on the way, that he was mailing it “tomorrow,” sending it UPS with a tracking number, etc., from March 2018 through May 2018, I never received the agreed-upon refund for the work that was not done. Since then, neither Mr. Geaneas or Niko Eckhart, the president of the company, nor anyone at Independent Solar Solutions, has replied to repeated inquiries from me via email, mail, facebook or phone. This is truly the worst home improvement contracting experience I have ever had, with a company that says on its website “Promises Kept & Performance You Can Trust."
