Have taken our cars here for repairs for numerous times and have always been extremely happy with their service. Our Pontiac was leaking oil from the front engine area. I took it to the GM dealer (in another state at the time) and they put it on a lift and said it looked bad and could run around $500-$600 to repair. I did not trust them and did nothing about it as the leak was not too bad. Few months later arrived here in Leesburg and took the car in to Catoctin Automotive. Owner Mike looked at it and said it was only a bad gasket that was located up in an area behind the oil filter & showed me where it was. They replaced it and the total charge with labor was less than $100. Highly recommend them!

They always does great work on my car. Then they give estimates. I take in cars that I am thinking of buying and they look them over for me. Very, very seldom have I caught them kind of double talking the particulars. They tell you what things cost and when they do it, it costs that. They do a good job. Nothing of theirs has ever fallen apart or became a problem. They just do a good job and nothing breaks -- good quality. They are probably the only place I go for the most part.

Brought the car here after getting another quote from local shop. Mike was very accommodating. Gave options and pricing was half of the other shop. Great work done on time. Finally found a great mechanic I can trust!

We can always get our car in whenever we want to and they seem very honest and quick.  They take care of the car in a day and that’s it.

Have used Catoctin for years. Mike, Tony and their team do great work. They're fair, honest and reasonably priced. On more than one occasion I've had an auto shop tell me I needed work done and the folks at Catoctin gave me their honest opinion that the repair wasn't necessary. I also had other shops quote me a price and Catoctin always came in at a lower price--once even as much as half the cost. I highly recommend them.

I made a separate appointment for maintenance on a 2010 Toyota and a 2002 Honda CRV. We asked for oil change and general maintenance. We got the oil change but later found that the fluids were not checked and filled in the Honda. The windshield wipers on the rear window was rotted. I don't recall the date or the amount of each car but the charges didn't seem too expensive for oil change and general maintenance. We feel that the oil changes were well handled but unless you spell out exactly what general maintenance entails you may be over charged for an oil change. We admit this may partial have been our fault due to lack of communication. However, we will go elsewhere for this service.

We felt the service was fairly priced, honest, and efficient. He was very professional. We plan to go back for any problems in the future. I got about six estimates over the phone. Every garage told me that I'd even need to go as far as replacing the rotors. His price was over $100 lower than everyone else including replacing rotors. I got there and he told me I didn't even need to. He could have really nailed me for extra dollars, but he was honest with me and will now get my future business.

After having my oil changed at another business I returned home with a list of possible repairs needed for my Blazer which seemed exorbitant. After calling around Angie's List businesses for estimates of what I could expect, I found Mike Rollins in Leesburg who asked me to bring my vehicle in so he could see what exactly needed repaired and what it would cost. Service was prompt and very quick and I was given a straight-forward answer in terms of what to expect, the estimate for what did need done, was reasonable and about a third of what the oil change place had quoted me in their long print out.
The oil change business made me feel as if I was being potentially ripped off but Catoctin Automotive personnel treated me with respect, answered all of my questions completely, and made me feel taken care of. I will return to Catoctin Automotive in the future for all of my repair needs. Do make an appointment and ask for Mike.

My experience is these guys are very good at servicing America cars. Never had a problem here. They're not the cheapest but they have not steered me wrong.

They always provide excellent service. Mike knows everything about cars. If you keep your cars to high mileages like I do, this is the place to go. Reasonable, clear estimates. Full explanation of services needed. Honest work. Highly recommended.
