COMMONWEALTH EXTERMINATORS

Unbeknownst to us, bed bugs hitchhiked home on our luggage after an extended vacation to Mexico and San Francisco in late February. About a month after we returned home, I noticed brown/black spots on my sheets and occasional spots of blood. I thought they were the result of bug bites since it was now April and I was in the midst of planting my garden.  Later as I was changing the bedding I noticed a small brown/black bug crawling up the curtain next to the headboard frame. When I pulled the curtain back I saw several more in the lining and immediately  investigated.  I was sick at heart when I learned they were bed bugs. I was further upset since our children and their families had just left after a long weekend visit. What if they had carried bedbugs back to their homes? 
    We called an exterminator we had used the previous fall for flying squirrels in the roof, but I wasn't satisfied with his one visit "solution" since I had researched extensively online and learned that a multi faceted and long term approach is the only way to truly get rid of bed bugs. 
    We then called Commonwealth Exterminators  and Rodney was here the next day full of concern and sensitive to our strong emotions. I was very impressed with his treatment plan which included steam heat applied to areas of the bed room, a "heat" trailer for  furniture, mattress and personal items, chemical treatments, a bed bug sniffing dog (which satisfied us that the bugs hadn't migrated to other rooms). long term traps, mattress encasements and followup treatments over a few weeks
    Much work was also required of us since we had to carefully empty everything (clothes, personal items & furniture) from the bedroom in garbage bags so bedbugs & eggs didn't accidentally drop elsewhere. Clothes & bedding were taken to a laundromat and washed/ dried at high temps to kill everything. All this took a few weeks of very intensive labor on everyone's part. 
   I am happy to say that today, about 6 weeks later, we are bed bug free and returning to normalcy. I can't thank Rodney and his staff enough for the wonderful and caring job they did in ridding us these creepy insects. Sanity has finally returned to our household.

Service person (Jason) performed inspection of the house internally (to include attic and crawl spaces) and externally.
A written contract of treatment and cost was proposed.
Called back exterminators to set up follow up appointments to begin treatment. Had to call back, again, however, even though I was told someone would call me to set up time provide treatment. POC was apologetic, friendly, and very responsive though.
Time was set up and service person arrived in the time frame agreed upon.
Service person (Jason) was professional, friendly, thorough, and responsive to questions.
Overall, I was very satisfied with professionalism and friendliness.
