The old saying "time is money" is just as true for us as it is for most of our customers. With today's busy lifestyles, who has time to wait for anyone? writer called service on Sunday evening, July 22,2018, after flooding rains to replace a sump pump. Work not completed. There was a $200.00 charge for coming out on a weekend. The total cost would be $900.00 plus 4% for using my credit card. I paid $200.00 for company coming out. I bought a good quality sump pump for $160.00 and a friend installed the pump readily the next day.

My water main was leaking from a coupling right near the meter. Steve came out early Saturday morning and had it squared away within an hour. His manner was professional and courteous. The price, which included $100 for off-hours service, was reasonable. I'm pleased to be able to support a local business that does good work.

I felt that the services were outrages, he did ended up taking the price down. I had to leave to go to NY the day after I called them. I came back a few months later, but the problem still continued. The job was not done right. I called and complained about it to the company and the owner came out and fixed the issue.

The [Member Information Removed] toilet fill valve that we replaced was full of sand and sediment. The sand and sediment came from either your well and or the old water pipes in your mobile home. This will cause any fill valve to malfunction and is out of our control unless we were paid to replace the old pipes and [Member Information Removed] a filtration [Member Information Removed] to keep the sand and sediment out of the [Member Information Removed]. I am sorry that you are so unhappy with us even though the technician discounted your invoice by roughly [Member Information Removed]% and we returned to replace the fill valve at no charge even though it was not under warranty. We wish you the best of luck in finding a plumber to take care of your plumbing needs."

I was most impressed with Professional Plumbing Solutions responsiveness to our issue. Days before finding them on Angie's list, we found a slow but damaging leak coming from our old water heater. I searched for and found PPS Inc's contact information and coupon for a new hot water heater [installed] and called them immediately on 12-28-2015. They answered and thankfully, were able to respond the very next day. I've experienced delays historically with other companies over the years due to either; lack of staffing or just being booked and unavailable so we were extremely relieved PPS Inc was immediately available.
Steve and Brad arrived, on time as scheduled and fully prepared to tackle our project. Both were very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to questions or concerns. I can tend to hover with any work being done on our home but Steve and Brad were fine with me observing as they worked tediously. They were meticulous in their work; ensured all components and new plumbing was leak free, and demonstrated the new water alarm they installed on the water heater which would sound, should it even break a sweat!

Two gentlemen came out. Very knowledgeable, explained problem, covered options and pricing. Prompt, professional, reasonable price. Will continue using them and will certainly pass their name on to friends and co-workers.

Steve was professional and promt. Showed up on time and scheduled and completed work quickly and with no problems. Job was pricey (based on our limited experience with plumbing services) but overall was worth it just to get it done right and off our list, without headaches.

Steve was very professional and friendly. He diagnosed the problem. The reason for visit is my alarm sounded. The alarm goes off when something is not working correctly. This happened on a Friday and I put a call in on Saturday. I paid extra (weekend call) because I didn't want sewage to overflow from my downstairs bathroom (from internet search). Steve diagnosed that the pump was not working but my raw sewage tank and effluent tank must be pumped out before new pump replacement. Pumping two 1000 gallon tanks cost $400, the average service price from nearby companies. Steve changed the pump and reassured me about their year labor warranty. I feel I made a great choice in picking Professional Plumbing Solutions.

We arrived at our vacation cabin in the Northern Neck around 1AM. Well power was off (we turn it off whenever we leave). When we turned it on, we heard a gushing of water. It turned out to be burst pipes running from kitchen sink into the wall adjacent to the porch, and below the porch, flooding into the crawl space below. I went to the Professional Plumbing Solutions website on my phone. From their contact info page, I sent an email, and followed up with a call at 8AM. Plumber, Steve, went to the business to pick up supplies and was able to get to our house, approximately a 45 minute drive away, by 11AM. He worked on the pipes, replacing pieces, checked the system for leaks and all was well within 3 hours. Fee was $414 plus a $100 Saturday fee, which was just fine.
The $414 included a discount because I am an Angie's List member. I didn't ask for a discount, but Matt, the owner who I spoke to on the phone, asked me where I got the reference. I told him Angie's List. When we squared up with Steve, the on-call plumber, he told us the discount had been applied!

Service rep explained what he intended to do beforehand (to our satisfaction), showed work during visit, and provided written summary of work (with specs, serial numbers, etc.) afterwards. Final cost was very close to estimate.

These guys are great. They show up on time, do their job, are organized. But they are expensive. If you have the big bucks, they're the way to go.

Alarm went off (of course!) after regular business hours. A friend recommended this company, so we called the answering service. Received return call from company owner in under half an hour - he promised service first thing next morning< and deliverd!
