Bob started with an initial bid of $8175.00 with a material deposit of $3850.00... when we signed the contract we gave him the material deposit...... a few days later he asked for a partial payment, because he had no money for gas.... he left his car parked in our driveway, awaiting gas.... we knew that the tractor shed roof leaked and that we could get it all done at once, hopefully cheaper... we received a bid from bob of $1800.00, which was acceptable at that time.... the next day he came to us asking for $600 for materials and labor for the shed.. I said that i thought all was taken care of with the check i had already given him.... he said no that was to reroof the shed and the $600 was for materials ..... they came and went a couple days at a time, working on the shed roof first, and then on the main roof.... the job appears acceptable but the roof in our bathroom leaked and half the ceiling came crashing down..... we called bob, he came and looked at it and said he would return the next day and repair it.... that's been 2 weeks and we haven"t seen or heard from him since, even after repeated phone calls to his answering machine....
