This is the second time that we have used Barrett Tree Services, and will not be the last. Sam came out for a quote on the current job and while we were walking noticed some dead branches that he took down at no cost during the walk around. The team is polite and professional, and the cost is better than anything else out there. They took down a limb over the driveway at about 50 feet and landed it precisely where they wanted to and took a very tall tree that was located next to a dogwood and dropped it without any damage to that tree (they dropped on on the other side with the same positive result last time). We live in a very wooded area, and I plan to have Sam come out in the spring and fall to help find other problem trees and branches and to remove them for us.

Perfect! Great. No problems, excellent service. They did what they said they would do, and were very tidy.

All trees were dropped without damage to the remaining healthy trees nearby.  One large dying pine was flanked by fencing and TWO power lines.  They precisely dropped it without damage to anything.  Impressive.  Cleanup was thorough.  They offered a valuable suggestion on how to make use of a massive oak trunk: chain saw it into sections to use as rustic tables and benches - - and they did so at no extra charge.

Sam Gibson gave me a quote on removing a dead tree in my back yard. He dropped the dead 100' red oak tree exactly where he intended by stringing a rope near my 10' privacy fence to prevent the tree top from hitting the fence. Amazing work! He then showed me how to get more sunlight on my yard by trimming out some unproductive tree limbs in the front yard. They cleaned up and ground up with their chipper every branch and leaf. I was first impressed when I saw him drop a 130' dead tree, with exact precision between the good trees, the month before in my neighbors yard. That's when I hired him to do my trees. This humble man knows tree trimming and removal!

When I saw Sam Gibson drop a very large dead tree exactly between the good trees in my neighbor's yard, I hired him to do some work for me. His crew of four men climbed and trimmed a large crept myrtle draping the front of my home. In my wooded back yard, he strung a rope between two trees to break the 100' dead red oak when it fell and prevent it from hitting the privacy fence. It landed exactly where he wanted without damaging any of the other trees and broke on the rope he strung.
This humble man not only did all he said; but, he went the extra mile and suggested trimming some more to let in needed sunlight so my grass could grow. They cleaned up every branch and leaf! The chipper they carry turns it all into a nice mulch that he sprayed into a pile, at his suggestion, so I could use it in my flower beds. His business address is Fluvanna County, VA; but, he works throughout Goochland County. Highly recommend. He does amazing work.
