Antique flooring is fast becoming a popular option on the market. We source reclaimed wood from old buildings, rivers, and factories. The end result is a beautiful wood floor that can last for generations with proper care. We specialize in heart pine, a species of wood that has largely been forested out of existence. The history of this wood began with the first colonists that landed in North America. They did not find gold sprinkling the beaches, but they did find a hardwood tree with exquisite gold and red coloring. Timber was shipped to the currently deforested Europe by the boat load. Heart pine was also popular among the Americans. Factories, warehouses, and homes were built with this hardwood. By sourcing wood from these old buildings, Blue Ridge Heart Pine Floors is a certified Green Business. It is our pride to provide top quality flooring to our customers. As a family business, we are open to meeting customers and giving tours of our facilities. If a customer has a difficult or rare order, we do our best to fulfill those needs. Blue Ridge Heart Pine Floors takes payment by check, cash, and Paypal.
Blue Ridge Heart Pine Floors offers full professional processing of wood into flooring. In our operation, we start with raw reclaimed logs or beams, sometimes centuries old. The wood is de-nailed, sawn, edged, kiln dried, tongue and grooved, and planed. We often provide customized orders, such as long boards, wide sizes, and rare types of wood that many other companies are unable to offer to their customers. We strive to present the customer with the lowest price possible.
Though our services are offered nationwide, we only deliver locally. If the customer lives locally, depending on the size of the shipment, we sometimes are available to deliver. However, we do not install, sand, or coat the flooring. We do refer several local contractors for these processes.
