Price for parts was 273. Labor for about an hour's time was 232. The labor cost seemed extremely high. I will not be going back there again. The context of me going was just to pass inspection. My brakes probably did need replacing, as I was hearing squeaking, but I had not noticed any decrease in brake performance. Should have done my homework. Their shop and staff seemed professional, though, so at least the quality was good, hopefully.

I have used this service provider and have been generally happy with the experience at this location.

I've used Wiygul before without any issues (except for the time recently when dropping my other car off for a state inspection I was assured by them that they would be there "way after" 7 for me to pick up my car, and then when I went to pick up the car at 7:08 everyone was gone. Not cool.) However: I brought a 2006 BMW in on June 5 for a VA State inspection and I was told the car needed: $462 worth of work to replace the front brake hoses and $798 worth of work to replace both lower control arm bushings just to pass inspection. This came as a surprise as the car had recently been checked over by 2 dealers in NY. My brother strongly encouraged me to get a second option. I took the car into Auto Scandia this week and sure enough it passed inspection with no issues. Shocking. I am also a woman, who took the car in on my own. I wonder if this is a systematic woman thing over there (referencing the earlier review.) I will not be taking any car back there.

I was pleased and will continue to go there. They were professional, courteous, and upfront and gave me several options for service. I trust them with my cars.

They're honest, trustworthy, and do good work. Their estimates are always right on par. They are probably better priced than others in area.

Noticed check engine light was on Friday afternoon. Wiygul was able to fix it by 10:00am the next morning. They worked in a very timely manner. Very good customer service and would absolutely use them again.

My pregnant wife took her vehicle to this outfit for a routine VA safety inspection. The vehicle was FAILED by inspector Kevin A. Reynolds on the basis of a steering system defect. My wife was told that the power steering pump was faulty - in fact leaking - and needed replacement. Apparently the reason why there was no sign of PS fluid on my garage floor was that it was "leaking onto the frame". She was also told that the transmission fluid was overdue for replacement. He then proceeded to write up an estimate for the allegedly necessary work in the amount of $1,148.91 and sent her on her way with a failed inspection certificate. As I had recently replaced the ATF myself with Toyota-certified "WS" fluid and the local Lexus dealership had recently replaced the entire steering rack under warranty, I was highly skeptical that any of this work was necessary. Additionally, the estimate proposed to use bulk, generic ATF which is not approved for use in this vehicle's transmission and which I believe - based on my personal research - could potentially damage the transmission. We took the vehicle to Pohanka Lexus, and they inspected the vehicle. They stated that none of the quoted work was in fact necessary. Pohanka performed the VA safety inspection and found no issues. I will leave it to the reader to decide whether on balance they feel Wiygul is an honest and ethical operation that they can trust to fairly evaluate the need for vehicle repairs. Without technical knowledge most people in this position would simply feel they had no choice but to get the work done and pay up. I personally will not use Wiygul in future, as this experience stinks like a dead skunk on the side of the road.

The car was towed to their property and left with instructions to call me the next day. They did so and recommended the fix. This is an old car with many issues but they have stood behind their work several times without charge with this and other cars when something had to be rechecked or slightly improved. Do ask for the AAA discount if you are eligible.

We used HERNDON AUTOMOTIVE-GOODYEAR two months ago. They replaced the master break cylinder. Things turned out poor with that as it was installed incorrectly. I might use HERNDON AUTOMOTIVE-GOODYEAR’s services again as they did refund all the money spent on the services.

My experience was favorable, they have a service that most people do not provide and that is their limousine service. They transport people that are having any type of work done. They are willing to take you home, pick you up and bring you back free of charge. That is a wonderful, wonderful amenity that a lot of other companies of this kind should consider. Working people need transportation and to have that provided is outstanding. it is very, very nice. Everything they do is quality but I feel when you take your car in and ask to have the tires rotated, oil changed and whatever else I don't want someone else to come out and say to me you need an additional $900.00 worth of service. That is the only thing I have but it is not against them.I understand you have to make profit, you are in a business. I want to go in for that and unless it is something major I don't want to know that I have got X,Y,Z to be done. It is not a complaint, you have done such an excellent job. You take me in, accommodate me, take me home, pick me up and then when you present the bill you say, oh by the way you need X,Y,Z. Maybe that is legit, maybe that is what they should be doing but it can be a turn off too. I don't want to be negative because they do everything so well. The price is high and I know you have a job to do just don't go finding things when you know our financial circumstance. I had already told you I am retired and my husbands working three jobs, don't push $900.00 on me. In this economy I don't see many people whipping out that type of cash.

I called ahead to make an appt for an oil change because I wanted to wait and not just drop of my car. I got there abot 10 min early and they took care of me right away. The staff was super friendly with good sense of humorl, and they have a shuttle service, as well as a town car to give folks who are dropping off their cars a ride. I notice there are lots of regulars there, it is nice to go somewhere they you feel they "know you" and have your best interest at heart. They were very professional and they did not try to get me to get additional services (that you may not really need) - which is what usually happens when you go to Midas or Jiffy Lube. The waiting area is small, but they have lots of magazines, fresh coffee, and a TV. I would go back and recommend to others.

We have used them for many years and have always felt that they are fair. Their prices are reasonable and they are friendly. I will continue to bring my vehicle to them.

They did great work and did not even charge us for the service. They have a great reputation for their mechanical services as well, as far as I know.

I have a very old car and these people have been extremely patient with me. They don't charge me for every little thing. They are just really good. I have had a good experience with them. We have been using them for quite a while now and I certainly would continue using them.

They diagnosed it as a transmission problem. They provided service, but it didn't correct the problem. Further follow-up is undetermined at this time. We are awaiting any recommendations, report may change based upon further activity. They are up front and honest about everything, and I always have had a pleasant experience when taking my car to them.

I spent $25 on that work. They do very good work at a fair price. I usually drop my car off and pick it up the next day. I can also make an appointment with them.

I had another shop rotate my tires, and they told me my front brakes needed redone, and offered to do them for $350. The thing is, they mostly do tires, and I know that having cheap pads/incorrectly installed pads = another brake job shortly. So I called around to several companies and asked them about the parts they used, availability, and price. Autoscandia would have done the job for less, but they couldn't work me in for at least a week, so I paid more and went to Reston Automotive -the price was comparable to that quoted by several other auto shops in the area. I had new brake pads and rotors, in the brand that I wanted, in a couple of hours. They were very professional, did not mind my comparison shopping at all, and let me know that sometime in the next few months my rear shocks were going to need replacing. They also explained that my brakes needed replacing due to damage, not wear (a chunk of the pad had been broken off). In fact, they gave the whole car a once-over, and reported everything else appeared in good shape. This is exactly what I want from a mechanic -I don't want someone who waits for something to break, and I want attention to detail. Rated the price a B because it is the same price I would have paid at a VW dealer, but I realize it is mostly my fault for wanting high-cost parts.

Poor. Need to find another repair garage.

First, a little history: a few years ago, I broke the driver-side windshield wiper on my 2000 Caravan. The shop (not the one I'm reviewing here) that repaired it then charged somewhere in the hundreds to fix it, explaining that getting to the part was labor intensive, and they did a less than stellar job: the wiper never went back to the left as far as it used to, and I was left with a rubber strip from around my windshield flapping in the wind whenever I drove. Today, I thought I had done it again, although this time, I was sure there had been no ice around my wiper before I turned it on, just slushy snow. However, my driver-side wiper was not moving at all. I called Wiygul in Herndon, explained what I had done, and Alan suggested that if it was a simple repair, I might be able to get it back before the end of the day. I brought it in, and, after taking my information, Alan suggested he have a look at. We went out to the parking lot, Alan grabbed a wrench, and made a quick adjustment. I tried my wipers, they were almost working right, and he made another adjustment. They worked better than they had before I broke them. No charge. I spent more time writing this review than I spent at Wiygul's. Alan was quick, neighborly, and very straightforward. I will absolutely bring my business back to them.

The name of the technician is RB, and I've followed him from shop to shop and he's working at this shop now. He's an excellent mechanic and I wouldn't trust my vehicle to anyone else.

I had a problem with a slow leak in a tire. I'd stopped in another tire store only to be told that they could only make an appt or I could wait 1.5 hours! I stopped by Herndon Automotive (I was just driving past) and they not only took me immediately, but had the repair done in less than 15 minutes for less than $15 dollars! GREAT attitude and GREAT customer service. Highly recommended.
