Wiygul Automotive has an amazing team of professionals. I went in for an oil change and asked them to look the car over before a long trip across country. The only thing they found was a nail in the tire, which they removed free of charge. I'm used to taking my car in to places and they try to tell me dozens of things are wrong with it, just so they can have some extra work. Thank you, Wiygul for your great service. We made it across country, and back, without incident. You will now be our only source for car repairs.

I talked with someone over the phone and set up an appointment. The oil change went well an in a timely manner as I waited for the SUV to be serviced. When I checked out they handed me printouts of all the things they thought the car needed service performed and the parts and labor cost for each service. Detail of what need to be done was very good and I do know all of that does need to be serviced soon. They found one problem that does need repair soon, leaking front axle seals on my SUV 4x4. When I got home I looked and there are signs of quite a bit of oil around the seals, looks like it has been leaking for some time caked on dirt and oil. With separate estimate printouts I can now schedule repairs based on what I can afford over the next month. One problem I found is an estimate to replace the belts, they do look like the need it and the SUV is a 2003. The cost for the new belt seems like a mistake but I didn't ask them about it. Serpentine belts don't cost $143.37 any where I could find so its just a mistake I am sure.

It went fine. I've been using them for a while. They're real good about explaining everything. I feel like they're very honest.

It all works now. I like their service, and they gave me a ride to my office after I dropped the car off.

I have been using them for a couple of years. I was very happy with them. I have gone back to them because I have not been disappointed in the work that they've done or what they promised. They are competitive on price. They are not cheap, but nobody is, anymore. They do as they promise as far as the time that you get the vehicle back. I don't have a way to get to the garage or back. I'm about a mile and a half away. They will pick me up to pick up my vehicle and they will drop me off after I've dropped my vehicle off. They are very good about it. Plus, they're the kind of people that when you go in and you ask them to define any other problems and they tell you, I have learnt to trust them unlike most other stores that I would go into.

A few years back I stopped . They were constantly making mistakes and I found I had to return the cars after every repair as one thing or another was not right. At one point they did a total brakes job and on the way home the brake light came on. I had another shop check their work and found I had a wheel about ready to come off - thus causing the brake light to come on as the sensor had pulled off. How could they have missed this? I could have had a serious accident if this wheel had come off at 55 mph! I went back a few years later for a tire repair they warrantied. I asked for a quote on the AC system while they had the car. They put the system in instead of giving me a quote. Gheez. Longer story than I have time to write out but I did not want them to to this work. And once again they blew it and the the car would not cool. I went to another shop and they discovered they failed to put in 2 pounds of freon, since it was a double system. How could they have missed this? Well this is what happened all the time at this shop. I had to pay this other shop for their work to drain the system and recharge with the correct amount of freon. This is the only way to sort out the problem, But is means I paid for filling the system 3 times. Wygel did it 2 times trying to sort out the issue. That is a lot of extra cost to me. I personally liked these folks but their attention to detail is way off and they know it too. Every time I went to the desk to pay clients on the phone or in person were complaining about mess ups. I mean every client in line or on the phone. Tired installed without the white walls facing out is an example. How can you miss that request? Too bad they went down hill as they were close by and very good for 20+ years. But not in the past years.

We had used the company several times. We believe they were doing unnecessary work and stopped using the company. I compared their services to the dealership and it seemed like they were doing unnecessary work. Their pricing seemed very high. Even when I took the car in for just an oil change they would ended up charging about $500-$600. The staff are very nice and polite.

I think I was overcharged for the cost of struts. Wiygul charged $348.00 per strut. I checked with a local Toyota dealer who quoted me a price of $198.00 per strut. Items sold by dealers are specifically recommended for their vehicles and reflect the minimum quality acceptable for replacement. Why would Wiygul procure a part other than that recommended by dealer particularly when the cost was substantially higher.

Oil change is expensive, even for synthetic oil, and with a $10 coupon! The "inspector" found an issue with a suspension bushing, but their estimate again was very high. Took the car to another shop for the repair and re-inspection.

These guys are great. I was referred to them by a couple of people in my office. I trust them to only do the work that is needed. Their pricing is reasonable and fair. They always give me a ride to and from the office which makes dropping of the car so easy.

They got us in and out in the time promised, and let us know that the brakes were due for repair as well. Price on tires was fair, but we went elsewhere for brakes because their estimate was high.

They did a great job of estimating what was needed and had car out of shop on the same day.

They overcharged me severely. The quality was fine but watch your wallet and do your research on parts and labor prices beforehand.

Wiygul was quick, required no appointment, called to pre-authorize services that I didn't originally request, and noticed things like my expired inspection sticker and the sluggish reaction of my clutch, which needed servicing. The cost was what I would expect in Herndon.

Not so well. All I really wanted was a quote as to why my AC was not workng, and they came back initially with a statement that said just my belt was broken. I thought that was no big deal and they proceeded with my permisison. But it was a belt, a tensioner and a refill of AC totaling $600! I expected something like $100-200 so I was a little taken back. I used these folks for years but stopped for reasons that came back this time around.. In 3 days the AC was not working at all and they looked it over and decided I needed a whole need unit - compressor, dryer etc.. Why they called my wife for approval of this work I am unsure as they had for years ONLY called me. They knew I made all these decisions for the family cars. And I had made it clear this was not a high priority from the start as this is a old car we use to taking home mulch, taking the dogs to the vet etc. But they did call my wife and she gave the okay so I could not get on their case except to ask them why they called her. Like in the recent past I paid for the work and a month later it was not working well (i.e. cooling hardly) but the summer over by September. Now, this summer, it is not cooling very well and I am displeased after spending $1800 last summer for a whole new unit. I am not going back as I have run into the certian issues for a number of years with them. First, I rarely get a quote before the work begins or they make it sound like not a big deal when it costs many $100s. I used to always get quotes. I looked back and found 60% of the time I had to return after I had any work done. I often found when I returned that there were other clients there too returning - work not done right the first time. Finally, I started going to an A.L. repair shop in Reston (Sunset Hills Automotive) to double check to see if their diagnosis was off. They usually jumped to the first thing a code would suggest and then worry later if that did not work. I should have stayed away. But I went back because they are close by and I was hoping I could use them to minor stuff like tire repairs. My mistake. They are nice folks and I am sure they mean well, but for lack of a better way of saying this - they have gotten very sloppy. I am sad to say this as I used them for many, many years, but they just are not up to snuff. And I have had other people I have met agree with me on this. It feels like I am stabbing them in the back but I am hoping they will see these kinds of reviews and take a good hard look inside and analzyse their business. I think they could do better but are simply are working too fast and not paying attention to details. Like when I said I wanted to know what was wrong with my AC and how much it costs to fix it - that is all I meant! And I would have gladly paid for the time to figure out the issue.
