A salesman (Joel) from Wadden Construction knocked on our door one evening and told me we had hail damage to our siding and possibly our roof. When he showed me the damage I called my insurance co and they sent out an inspector. Sure enough, Joel was right. Our siding was damaged on all four sides and the roof was damaged as well. The insurance co paid for a total replacement of the siding and most of the roof. The owner, Robert Wadden coordinated the entire job with my insurance company and the entire process was very painless for us. We now have brand-new, great looking siding and a new roof. If it wasn't for Joel knocking on my door I would have never thought of using my homeowners insurance to replace our 30+ year old siding and roof. The Wadden crew was very proffesional and kept the worksite extremely clean each day. Robert came by everyday they worked to make sure all was going as expected and kept me informed as to all changes that occurred during the process. If Wadden knocks on your door, I highly recommend you give them a few minutes and listen to their advice. They increased the value of my home.

Siding was applied in 3 days as promised with excellent clean up.

This was an insurance based repair.  that is why I did not rate the price -- the insurance company and Wadden negotiated the costs, and I figure they have professionals on both sides of the table there.
First the good:  The roof and siding look great.  We have had some mild rain and wind, no leaks or problems so the roofing and siding appear to be properly installed so I have no complaint on the installation.  Wadden worked with the insurance company well, and this was a good situation -- I did not get stuck negotiating between the two of them.  The work crews did good work and in general the worked quickly and addressed concerns as they arose.
I downgraded punctuality because Wadden's supplier did not provide all the parts needed before the work on replacing the siding began.  they did not have an attic vent or mount for one of the lights with the initial delivery.  Since it was a special order color, it delayed completion by two weeks (Wadden did the siding replacement, with temporary covers in place while waiting for the missing parts).  No one from Wadden was present when the delivery was made, and no inventory made before the work began which could have cut the delay time.
I downgraded professionalism for two reasons:  One, a roofer almost dropped material on my wife as she exited the garage.  They were aware she was home, and would be coming and going.  The other problem is that they left about 1/2 pound (volume)of nails, plus utility razor blades and scrap in our yard.  I made a point to the salesman that my grandchildren play in the yard, and post job cleanup was important.  After I cleaned up the first 1/4 pound, I called to have them clean up.  After they sent someone to clean, I found an additional 1/4 pound of nails and more razor blades in the yard!  Then when the last steps of construction noted above where done, I found a good chunk of cut vinyl in my bushes and more nails.

This was an insurance claim, so my out of pocket expense was only about $1500. The work was excellent however had a few issues with the sales agent. which is the only reason I will not use the again.  The sales agent was not 100 percent honest so I had to deal directly with the President of the Company.

Excellent work from beginning to end.  The Sales Rep/Field Supervisor was a very dynamic and enthusiastic professional who earned my trust.  He helped advise me thru a lengthy process with the insurance company.  The actual roof replacement work was done well, with good materials, and on time.  Clean-up was thorough.  Even adding "skylight replacement" after the initial contract was written, was accommodated with no issues.  Bottomline - it's refreshing to deal with a team of pros who want the customer to be satisfied -- pleasing the customer is a dying art, but my experience w/this outfit restored that faith.  Again, the Field Supervisor was very responsive and thorough - he always returned calls, followed-up, delivered everything he promised.  His word was his bond ... that interface with the customer makes all the difference.  Well done!

Ray knocked on our door one day offering to check our roof and siding for hail damage.  Since a friend had sent him to us, I agreed to let him look.  He found damage and walked us through every step to get the insurance adjustor out and get a claim approved.  He was present when the adjustor came and followed through with everything.  As soon as our insurance approved the work, Ray ordered the materials and the roof was installed the next week.  The following week the siding arrived and was installed a few days later.  I was amazed at how fast the work was completed.  Ray came out every day to check on the work and answer any of my questions.  When  the work was completed, I noticed some "nail pops" inside the house from all the banging when the siding was installed. Ray got someone out right away to repair the small amount of damage.  I was very impressed and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The service was good overall. They were very proactive in working with us and our insurance company. I just referred them to a friend who has also been very happy. They did a good job!

Before signing the contract Wadden showed up at my doorstep every few days unannounced, which was annoying.  I would have preferred an arranged time.  I felt once I signed the contract the project was completely out of my hands.  We had not agreed to a specific start date, but they showed up anyway, removed the siding from the house, and did a rough trimming job on all my bushes in the front of the house that were in the way.  I was shocked and upset.  When taking off the old roof and siding they picked up the big peices, but did not make an effort to pick up the hundreds of nails in the yard.  Becuase these nails are head heavy, a good amount of them stick straight up.  Both my wife and I had once stuck in the sole of our shoe on day 1.  We spent hours trying to find them all, but I am still finding them today, smashed into the ground.  We have pets who use the yard, which I told Wadden, they made a weak attempt to find the nails after I sent an angry e-mail.

Reps for this company put flyers on the doors around my neighborhood instructing the homeowners to leave the flyer and payment on the door the next day if cleaning is desired. There is/was no face to face meeting with the reps from this company--they simply come by and do the job, whether you're there or not! Very convenient. The cleaning was promised for the next day, but the company came later in the day that the work was promised for with a note saying that due to an overwhelming response, they'd have to do the work as promised later that week. They ended coming out the day after that and did a fine job cleaning out my gutters. They did just blow the leaves in my yard, but I think the gutters were cleaned well, and I appreciated getting a roof inspection to go along with the gutter cleaning.

Company rep puts flyers on door the day before cleaning, says to leave flyer on door next day if cleaning is desired. Despite my following instructions, my door was missed, but they came back later in the week (after I called) and did it. This is the second time that's happened, but unscheduled return deprives me of opportunity to get same-day payment discount. Cleaning is OK, and they take away debris. They also check roof to see if repairs are needed and give a report on that.

THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB ON MY HOUSE. THE SERVICE WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE REPRESENTATIVES WERE PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. THE HOUSE LOOKS GREAT.
