They are very expensive, but they are quite good. The only complaint I would have about them is the prices are very high. I have been going there with my pets for maybe the last twenty- some-odd years. At least, they keep good records of previous visits and not just like you have to reinvent the wheel every time you take a pet in. They are just like anyone else; they overbook. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

I've been using this vet since 1993. Until the last year, i've always received wonderful service from them, In fact, I credit Dr. Michaels with saving my cat's life once in the 90s. Julie - the office manager - is very knowledgable and helpful.
Unfortunately, there's been a recent and significant turnover in staff and the quality of service has dropped. The three specific instances that i'll highlight include:
1) When scheduling my cat for an ultrasound, Dr. McCadden didn't tell me about any pre-visit restrictions. Because of this, i fed my cat breakfast before the visit. The vet wasn't able to see the cat's stomach because of the food, and to this day, I still don't know if there was a stomach -related reason for the cat's sudden weight loss. They charged me for the full procedure.
2) I brought a new puppy in for her first physical and shots. At the beginning of the exam, i asked Dr. McCadden a question that she couldn't answer clearly. She left the room, and sent in Dr. Cannon to answer. However, Dr. McCadden never returned to finish the exam and therefore, I never got an opportunity to ask any other questions. Since this was my first dog, I had lots of questions. 2 months later, many have still not been answered. They charged me for a full exam.
3) I scheduled the puppy for a spay surgery a week in advance and specifically asked if there was anything I needed to be aware of to prepare for the surgery. Stephen (who mans the front desk) told me only about food/water intake restrictions. The afternoon before the surgery, the vet called to tell me they need to do a blood test THAT DAY to make sure that the dog will be able handle the anaesthesia. They admitted their error in not telling this in advance. I had to cancel the surgery since I couldn't take the dog to get the blood test that afternoon.
In conclusion, Dr. Michaels is great. Dr. Cannon seems to be competent, althoughi haven't interacted with her much. However, I'd avoid using Dr. McCadden. Too many details seem to slip through the cracks and could potentially have a negative impact on pets' health.

All but two of the vets are close to newly graduated from vet school. With the exception of one senior vet there, I would not bring my dog, nor cat in for treatment other than something simple. I have owned and bred dogs for several years and so may not be the average client in terms of my veterinary expectations. When this vet clinic was purchased by VCA, the prices went up considerably and continue to do so on a very and quot;quietand quot; basis- IE; each time you board there or have a service done, there is a slight increase in price even if it is only a few months difference in timing.
Overall, the staff are very kind and caring to the animals and are genuinely interested in their welfare and care. However, it is difficult to understand why all the senior, very capable vets left the practice since VCA purchased it, in the last few years and have been replaced by recent vet grads. That in itself, tells me that this is a business which is purely run for profit.
The benefits of a corporation can be good for owning a vet practice in terms of quality of care and protocol. However, with that larger overhead, it obviously is a costly endeavor as well. One which, we the clients pay for.

They are very good. They are very friendly. They have really good hours, for not being a 24 hour vet. They are open an hour earlier then most, stay open late and have Saturday hours. They are very convenient. I understand where it is coming from but it is expensive.

We have been using the services for years. The staff is very personable. The vets seem to be knowledgable as well as kind. We generally have a pleasant experience when we go there.

Our last visit was for his checkup, his shots and some testing. I have used them since he was a puppy, and they have been very good. They are very professional. They are the only veterinarians that I have ever been to, so I would not know how their prices would compare with others. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

This vet practice is top notch. I have been using them for over 9 years. The care they provided for my previous dog was exceptional and believe me, Marley tested them on every level. He had two knee surgeries, cancer surgery and other cancer treatment. Under Dr. Lewis Michaels' thorough and dedicated care, my little guy conquered the odds to live 15 years. Dr. Michaels saved his life several times over, but his recommendations were always tempered with finding the right balance, making sure we weren't extending his life for the sake of it, but ensuring there would be quality of life and comfort even up to his last days. From routine care to very complex procedures, Dr. Michaels and his staff are top notch. If there is one fault, its that Dr. Michael's thorough approach can make wait times long as he tends to run late on his appointments. So book your appointments early in the day. On the flip side, his dedication often meant he would call me from his home personally to follow up on questions or test results. I have also worked with several other of the Doctors there, Dr. Simmons and Dr. Nostrum, both of which are excellent as well. I can't say enough about the deeply caring and professional service this practice provides. I have two new dogs now and we of course are taking them here, even though they are quite far from where we now live.

They have been rated very highly by a Washington magazine a few years back. They have a majority of female doctors which we like. The doctors are excellent. Their price is a little high for me, though it might be average around here. The receptionist staffs are not professional.

Overall, from yearly exams to teeth cleaning to caring for over five years for a cat with diabetes, we have been extremely pleased with this vet office.

Excellent, no problems, quick recovery. We've generally had good experiences with the staff, from the doctors to the desk. The only thing we didn't like is that they required 2 nights stay and they don't have anyone on premise during the night. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend them. They've also done a good job with all our shots and puppy stuff.

Our neighbors recommended this vet to us and now we recommend them to everyone we know. We have had great experiences for the past 6 years and the vets are very compassionate to the animals. At this vet, you definitely get what you pay for.

I went to this hideous place for 8 years. My dog was poisoned and had blood spurting from his mouth. I called them for help at 8 am and they told me they only open at 5 pm. They didn't even try to help me and my dog died because of that. If you go to this vet, find another one.
