He is really good and very professional. I hired him for stumps at my rental home and main home. Prompt and precise, he marked stumps with paint before removal for me to see what his quote involved. All stumps were cut well below the ground surface so that grass can now grow. A very refreshing company to run across!

Absolutely the best service provider one could ever hope for! I am not exaggerating in the least bit. Completely professional and 100% honest! Only charges for work performed. If the estimate amount is more than the actual amount of time he took to complete the work, he actually charges you LESS! I know! Unheard of right?! It gets even better! If the estimate is lower than the amount of time he takes to complete your work, he does NOT charge you any more than the estimate he gave you! And affordable? Absolutely! Does he over charge you? No, I was shocked how little we paid to have 12 stumps ground. It would have cost us more to rent a machine and do it ourselves than what we paid. I would 100% hire this gentleman again! I gave him all a's and this is the very first time I have ever done so!

Mr. Stumpy was fantastic! He was on vacation when I first reached out to him, but he replied and let me know a date which he would contact me to schedule. From there, he was extremely communicative and easy to work with. Mr. Stumpy arrived on time on the scheduled day, and made very quick work of my stumps. Because my job was small, he added one additional stump for no extra charge. He was respectful to my family and my property, took necessary precautions to protect my yard, and cleaned up after the grinding was finished. If anyone in Northern Virginia is in need of stump removal, I would highly recommend Mr. Stumpy.

Mr Stumpy was very prompt in contacting us and setting up an appointment. He arrived on time and gave us an estimate of $150.00 We accepted his estimate and he did the work which was grinding up the stumps and raking the wood chips back into the hole where the stump was. After completion, he told us that the job took less time than he estimated and charged us only $110.00 You couldn't ask for better service at a such a reasonable price.

I enjoyed working with Mr. Stumpy. He is very professional and punctual and his quote was very reasonable, and he is funny. He helped us remove a very big stump in a very short time window. I will definitely recommend him to my neighbors and use him again.

Mr. Stumpy is wonderful. He gives you an estimate of the most it will cost. If he does the job in less time it will cost less (this has happened every time I have used him! He is so honest). He ground 2 big areas and 2 small areas. He is a class act!

Mr. Stumpy is wonderful. He is very professional and has a fantastic personality! It is so refreshing to meet honest, hardworking people that take pride in their work. He ground 8 stumps and did a wonderful job. I will use him again when we have more trees that need to be cut down.

Mr. Stumpy is the MAN!!!!  I had 60...yes 60 stumps and large bush roots left over after we cleaned up the back yard  of our neglected new house. Since most of his competitors charge by the  stump (and size of the stump) this would have cost me a fortune. Stumpy charges by the hour and since he work so fast he is totally worth it. He arrived on time, got the work done while I headed to work and called me when he finished. He estimated $500 but only charged me $300. When you under-promise and over-deliver while staying under-budget you will win  me every time. Mr. Stumpy for President!!!

He was very good about contacting me and coordinating a time to do the work. He put down boards to protect my yard an had the best price out of the 5 places I contacted.

He called beforehand to let me know when he would be coming out. He was prompt and did the job well. He pierced our hose with his pitchfork accidentally and reimbursed us to replace it. We wouldn't have even known and we really appreciated his honesty.

Excellent service. I received three estimates before I made a decision. Mr. Stumpy was the least expensive and the most flexible for my schedule. He showed up early on Saturday morning and ground five stumps from my yard and was complete in two hours. I didn't need the areas backfilled as I am preparing from some additional landscaping work which helped lower the price a little. He was very personable and a pleasure to do business with. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Stumpy was great. He ground down the stumps until there was nothing left. His machines are smaller and less sophisticated than the ones used by some of his competitors, and this turned out to be key for us: a bigger machine simply wouldn't have fit into our backyard. Fortunately, his machine fit through our gate with about half an inch to spare and did the work as well as the fancy ones would have done it. It was a great experience.

I found Mr. Stumpy on Angies List based on excellent reviews. Angies List was absolutely correct, he was outstanding and I would definitely use him again. Mr. Stumpy did a fantastic job and his price he quoted was good. I found him to be very honest and forthcoming. If you need stump grinding, Mr. Stumpy is the one you want, but be mindful that he is so popular and is in such huge demand that the wait time is 2 weeks out. I had no problem waiting 2 weeks since it wasnt urgent. Also dont plan on buying any mulch after the stumps are grinded, you will have plenty of wood chip mulch for your yard. I was amazed how much wood chips come out of one stump!

Kerry was delightful to employ. He gave me a fair estimate, came on time to do the job, and removed the stump. He even impressed one of my neighbors who saw him working. In addition, Kerry is a very nice person as well as a skilled professional.

Kerry was great. Came out to property (at time scheduled!!!) and walked whole area to review stumps we had marked fro removal and to evaluate if others could/should be removed as well. Provided very fair estimate and explained what was involved in the job and set appointment to return to do work. Probably had 30+ things to be removed including 5-6 fairly large stumps.
Arrived on time to perform work and was fantastic. Ground down all the stumps, backfilled the holes and even took some extra time to cut through and grind stump down on a tree that had fallen in a recent storm.
The man is a class act and a true professional, always punctual. Would use again and recommend him to all in a heartbeat.
