We hired Konde to install wiring for a doorbell. Not only did he mistakenly cross the switches (i.e. he connected my doorbell to my light switch so the doorbell would only charge when the light switch was turned on) but he then took more than several weeks to come back to fix it. Now, 7 months later, the box that he purchased and installed (which we never asked him to put in) is humming at an annoying rate. He literally texted me to delete his number when I asked him to come back to fix it. This was a $2K job (which we likely were ripped off for) and he canâ t stand by his work for even 1 yr.

"Im sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, when you own a townhouse in D.C., that was never been updated, unexpected issues occur. Your request was to have a doorbell wired. Which we provided an estimate for you, and was approved. We had a Chime Doorbell in the van, and we asked if you would like to have it installed--which was approved. We do not move forward without approval, and would never just give away materials or complete free work. As for the switched power. That was due to old wiring in your home, which was explained to you that day. We normally would have chargef for this kind of visit, but unfortunately we provided this fr"

I hired Konde to install a 120V for a new washer I bought to replace an old one requiring 240V. Not only did he install the 120V outlet, but he also left us without a 240V outlet for our dryer, which we also replaced. I never asked him to get rid of the 240V service in the washer/dryer area, but he made lots of excuses that he did exactly what I asked. This was not discovered until the new washer/dryer stack was put in place, which now greatly complicates getting the re-installation of a working 240V circuit done.

I enjoyed doing business with Mr. Konde. He contacted me immediately after I had placed my request with Service Magic online. Since my electrical work was standard (ceiling fan installation) he was able to provide a written cost proposal immediately and was able to add my work to his schedule within my timeframe. He called ahead, arrived when he said he would, did the work quickly and efficiently, cleaned up after himself and the price was exactly what he had quoted. I will highly recommend Konde Electric to my friends, neighbors and any of your customers.
