The work was performed as promised, however the price was a surprise. Despite describing the lock in detail on the phone, when the technician arrived (an hour later after being told 15 minutes), the price had jumped from $19 per lock to $45 per lock. Then he then told us that one of the locks was actually two locks, so that one would be $90 if we wanted both sides of it rekeyed. Ultimately, we were charged $90 to rekey the two locks (just had one side of the second one rekeyed) that we were originally told would be $19 each. On top of that was $30 in labor (fair enough, but not part of the original quote). When we called the company to ask about the price jump, the man simply feigned ignorance at what kind of lock we had told him we had. Believe me, there was absolutely no ambiguity about what kind of locks we had and there was no excuse for the sudden $25 jump in price per lock. What made it worse is that the company was unapologetic. I would not use them unless all the other 10,000 locksmiths in the area are unavailable.
