Carl did a great job in opening our pool and fixing the couple issues we had with our filter in the first couple weeks. We hired him for the summer to clean the pool weekly which he is charging $99/week. I checked with a couple other companies and his prices were absolutely the most reasonable because they also INCLUDE chemicals. Since Carl is the owner and does all the work, he doesn't have a ton of overhead charges that other companies do. Our pool has never been so clean and chemically balanced and we plan to use him in years to come as well.
He was very flexible in the weekly cleaning plan for the summer and told us that if at anytime we wanted to take over the weekly cleaning, just to let him know. Most other pool companies try to make you sign a full contract for the summer, not Herndon Pools. We appreciated that flexibility and are so happy with the job he is doing, we will most likely have him continue the weekly cleaning all summer. He also said that if we are having a pool party on the weekend, to let him know and he will come out and clean the pool the day of the party to make sure it is perfect for the party and at no extra charge!

Carl was absolutely amazing!  We had problems all summer with the water in our pool, unable to get the water stabilized and get rid of the algae despite spending an enormous amount of money with another pool company.  Carl came out personally on a Monday and by Wednesday, our water was crystal clear - almost like magic!  Since then, we've been able to keep up with the maintenance and enjoy the pool once again. 

Carl's service was truly wonderful.  His expertise and knowledge was helpful during a very difficult period when I was about to give up on the pool (and just fill the stupid thing up with dirt!). 

I will definitely use Carl to open and close our pool each season and for any other problems we have.  He's the expert we've been looking for!

We moved into a new house with a pool this summer. After being blown off by two different pool companies, I called Carl. Our vacuum was broken, booster pump broken, and air was bubbling in the pool. Carl came out the same day and cleaned up our pool, skimmers, filter, etc. He also told us that the previous owners had bought the wrong type of vacuum for our pool. He also inspected the booster and quickly identified the problem. He came back the next day with the appropriate vacuum and the pool looks great. Carl is very friendly and professional. He explained all our issues in simple terms.

After the pool company I used last year (Dive-In Pools) failed to show up for several appointments I found Herndon Pool Service on the list. He was very friendly when I called and clearly explained his services. He showed up when he said he would and did what he said he would do for a reasonable price.

I had another pool company open our pool and at that time a problem was identified. They unsuccessfully attempted to resolve this problem three times.  I called Carl and he answered his phone, not an answering service.  He was able to confirm that our pool was not operating correctly, unlike the other company.  He was able to find the problem and recommend the solution with in five minutes.  He obtained the correct parts and fixed the problem the next day.  The great thing about this company is the owner answers the phone. No operators or schedules to talk to. He discusses the issues, provides an estimate for services and immediately schedules the appointment. Compared to other companies his prices are very reasonable.

I spent about $425 on the job. They did a great job. My husband interacted with them. He felt that they were very good. Since I moved from the previous house and I no longer have a pool, I don?t think I can use them any longer. However, if I could use them, I would.

I had Carl's email address and sent him an email asking for for a service call. Carl was able to come by on the same day and identified a leak that he repaired.

Carl was extremely efficient, professional, and friendly. He came out to the house to perform all of the work himself (unlike some of the other pool companies which hire seasonal/temporary labor). One of the nicest things about Carl was that he really took a personal interest in the pool and the way that it functioned.
