We are extremely impressed with Douglas Roofing in Great Falls. Marc was extremely insightful and courteous from the initial roof inspection to the finishing touches of our new roof. They replaced our old roof with a beautiful new one that has completely transformed the look of our home. We referred them to our neighbors as well.

Highly recommend this company. Alfred, my roofing advocate was instrumental in getting my entire roof replaced through my insurance company with no cost to me besides my deposit. Five Star Fabulous! We highly, highly recommend Douglas Roofing! Douglas Roofing completely replaced our roof, gutters and downspouts. Steve Arevalo worked with our insurance company. Haley Barry, project manager, helped us choose great materials. Their installers were highly skilled and very polite. Douglas Rimel, part owner of the company, came to check on the progress, and quickly resolved a couple of questions. The installers cleaned up everything. Work happened when they said it would happen. They charged what they estimated. And what is best...everybody was safe and sound at the end of the project! Rain and snow fell after they finished, and our house is completely dry.

They were fantastic. They were of very high quality and very picky guys. I know a lot about roofing and they did a really good job. No complaints. Their owner actually came after the job was done, found a couple of things and send the guys back out there for a couple of hours to fix a couple of things that he noticed that weren't done to his liking. I did not have too much interaction with the workers but they seemed good. They all did a good job. The guy who sold the roof to me; the sales guy, was also sort of a foreman on the job out there. It was a fairly complicated roof and they all did a good job. Though I do not remember how much I spend, I do remember them not being the cheapest. I had some problems with the roof and they were the ones who got a ladder and went up and identified exactly what the issues were more so than the others. The others came out and did not put any effort to actually making sure that what they are offering is going to fix the problem. I had water leakage during last winter that caused one of the hard wood floors to buckle. It was very bad. They were very reasonable. I don't except to need them but if I needed a new roof I would definitely call them.

The work turned out just wonderful. They were very efficient. I was traveling at that time and one of the challenges I had was that the fascia board had come off at the back of my house. So, they came out before I went away and gave me an estimate. I asked them to go ahead with the work. I was a little concerned because I hadn’t heard from them and when I went to pick up my mail after I came back, there was a bill. Then when I went and looked at the back, the work was completed. You couldn’t even say that they had been there. They had done the work. They had cleaned up and removed everything that had fallen down. So, I was very pleased with what they did. There was no shingle damage that they had to fix. I had dealt with other contractors, but Douglas Roofing was easy to deal with. They did what they said they were going to do. They responded to what they said they were going to respond. I hadn’t heard from them and I wasn’t sure if they had done the job. That could have been because I was traveling. So, I was surprised with what they did. Other than that, I was entirely pleased with what they did. The price was fair. It wasn’t cheap. I had received an estimate that was lower, but I didn’t have much confidence in the folks who had given me the estimate. Otherwise, their price was in the same ballpark with the others I had received. They gave a good price. There was never really an issue with their punctuality. I wasn't here when they did the work. They did come when they said they would for the estimate and they were quick and efficient. Everything was done over the phone and I never met anyone from the company. They did what they said they were going to do and they were responsive to it. I am always impressed when a contractor leaves and you really can’t tell that they had been here. That was true in this case except for the fact that there was no debris left. They completely cleaned everything up. They were able to do this when I wasn’t at home. I would use their services in the future too.

Douglas Roofing came in and immediately found the problem. The roofer that we had paid to put a new roof on had botched the job. Since the repair job, we've had zero leaks after years of problems and shoddy repair jobs. Great!

We were overall very pleased with Douglas Roofing. We needed to get this replacement done quickly (as we were marketing the home). They were the very first company to respond to or request for a timely estimate and they ended up giving us a reasonable estimate--and most importantly--they could also begin the work within a week's time. Alfredo and crew were good. They started out working in comfortable conditions, however the extreme (near 100 degrees) heat hit on the 3rd day. This extended the number of days for the job, but it was a necessity as nobody could work in that terrific heat of midday. The one unfortunate part of the project was that (since cedar is on spaced sheathing) a box of roofing nails fell between the sheathing and damaged a ceiling in our 2nd story foyer. by the time we realized the damage, Larry had already been contacted by the crew. Even though this was over July 4th weekend, he had already contacted his drywall subcontractor and made arrangements for him to make the repair. The drywall repair was very good.This was the only part of the project that was a difficulty (inconvenient and it extended the time we had to have our house off of the market) and why we rate the overall experience as a B versus A. We had a small issue after the first rain, but Larry was out to our house within the hour of our call and it turns out it was a gutter issue and not the roof at all. We were pleased that he was here to check it out so quickly and even helped to remedy the situation. We always felt like our home was his top priority during the process. He was always available by phone or in person.

Very Good. When I called someone answered the phone and they gave me ideas on what the problem could be. They came out 2 days later and provided an estimate on the spot. I was not home when they came, so they left a detailed drawing and description with my nanny. When I called them back to discuss, someone answered the phone again (that's so nice) and talked me through the repairs. They came out the next day to do the work. They were on time and delivered as expected. They also didn't try to sell me on a new roof, which I appreciated. I don't think they were the cheapest, but I appreciated the level of service. My only complaint, was that I did ask them for an estimate on replacing the roof, just so I would have an idea when the time came (probably 2-5 years), but they didn't come through on that. Overall, they were timely and made it easy for me. Thank you.

Larry (the owner) came out to give an estimate himself. Told me about his company and gave me some great advice (go with a ridge vent versus attic fan b/c it's an all four seasons solution). Very trustworthy - a man and company committed to doing business the old fashioned way - invoiced on real, honest-to-goodness, letterhead with a professional logo/business presence. The one of the two men who did the work had been doing so for a gazillion years and couldn't have been more professional or polite. I actually wish I had another roof somewhere that needed work b/c I would hire Larry and his team back in an instant - if only all contractors were like this. If I have any trouble with the vent, I have no doubt he would come back to rectify it. Douglas Roofing - HIGHLY recommended.

Very responsive. And it was nice to have Douglas handle both the roofing *and* the gutters/downspouts. I had wanted a special element to some of the roof venting, and Douglas (and whatever distributor they use) complied quickly. Two items that could stand improvement that I can recall is site clean-up - found quite a few long aluminum nails used for the old gutters in our grass. Also, I was quoted for more venting than I needed due to overlooked soffit vents already in place. Over the subsequent winter we had record-breaking snow and gutters were beyond full with ice - solid ice. So I had minor ice-damming problems. But anyway, I checked the gutters later and they seem as solid as ever. If I have roofing issues again, I'll be consulting again with the folks at Douglas.

Company was very responsive. Able to estimate same day, do repair next. Although repair was not completed quite correctly on first attempt, (as evidenced by continuing although lessened leakage) company was responsive and returned to resolve without further charge. Highly recommend.

From estimate to work to some very minor "punch list" work, the work went very well, and the company and its people were a pleasure to work with. The proposals were detailed, the quality of materials proposed/used was excellent. The work started on time and was completed on time, with minimum disruption to our property or inconvenience to us. The minor items on our punch list after completion were handled promptly and completely.

Noticing a water stain on the kitchen ceiling, we immediately went to Angie's List for help. After reviewing roofing companies, we called several, but only Douglas Roofing could respond immediately. They arrived right on time for the estimate; did a thorough assessment of the roof; provided me pictures of the roof and a sketched out the problem and described the solution. Early the next week, their crew arrived early and completed the repair in less than 3 hours and did a great job cleaning up the work site. I highly recommend Douglas Roofing.

We needed both new shingles and a solution to attic ventilation in a home without eaves. Douglas Roofing provided clear information on the products available to meet our needs, and more than that, guided us in preparing the inside of the attic to best take advantage of our new edge vent and roof ridge vent system. Work was performed on time, on budget, and to the standards advertised. We needed a tweak on one gutter and Douglas Roofing returned promptly to adjust it. Very happy with Douglas Roofing.

The project went very well. The original estimate was generated in a timely manner. The owner, Larry, personally presented the quote. We discussed the options for materials and the proper ventilation requirements to obtain the manufacturers warranty on the shingles. I explained my concern to identify any rotted lumber at the fascia board under the aluminum wrap and he assured me that they would identify it during the tear off and only bad lumber would be replaced. No unnecessary replacement would occur. From the time they began until the finish I was very impressed with the amount of attention the owner gave to the project. He was on site from the first arrival of his crew and then several times throughout the project to ensure that every aspect was being inspected and completed properly. The crew was very experienced. They were able to fix every area of rotted lumber at the fascia as well as correcting bad wood around my chimney and back deck that had been rotted for years. The project was succesfull and I am very pleased. Douglas Roofing worked with me on every area that needed attention and provided the proper construction to obtain the full manufacturers warranty. The ventilation was critical to the warranty and some other contractors that bid the project were not fully addressing the ability to maintain the manufacturers warranty. The most impressive aspect was the attention the owner gave to the project. This is an excellent contractor and I recommend them completely.

We have not had any leaking since they repaired the roof. They were very quick about coming out and diagnosing the problem. They came back a few days later and did the repairs. The owner of the company seemed very straight forward and easy to deal with.
