It went great! The gentleman helped me immediately, and explained a few things about hanging it and carried it to my care for me! Its a very nice store with lots of choices for frames also. I would go back anytime for framing needs also.

I had a nearly 100 year old photo of my mother seated at a piano. It was beautiful, very artistically set up - and in awful condition when I got it. After having it restored by Chamberlain Restoration (mold removed, colors brought back) it needed new framing. West End did an outstanding job in helping me select framing and then superb work on the framing itself. Perhaps a bit costly, and worth every penny.

I've had several items framed at this place and each time I've been very pleased. Since I'm not good a choosing frames, this has been the right place for me to come. I give the owner my budget, tell him what I'm generally looking for and he narrows down the selection to 2 or 3 choices. He seems very knowledgeable and is always very helpful and eager to work within a budget.

When we moved to the west end, I relied on a neighbor's recommendation for a "good frame shop." I have to say, she was spot-on with her recommendation. I've been to a few of the frame shops around town, but this one (which is kind of hidden from the closest road) had a beautiful collection of oil paintings and prints, and they said they have 2,000 frames on their walls too. The owner said he's been doing this 19 years and started in his father's gallery in New York when he was young. To make a long story short, his framing price came out about the same as the craft stores w/discount (though he said he doesn't have coupons) and he was much more cordial and helpful. He had frames covered in real gold. When I mentioned my budget, he had many great ones within it. His shoppe is tucked away on the Gayton Road (not Gaskins Road) side of the Gayton Crossing Shopping Center over by the Tennis Store, Ukrops and Melting Pot.
